Surprisingly good for a college town sushi restaurant. It isn’t up to say Houston standards which pale in comparison to Tokyo for Sushi, but this was quite good. Even had a few good Sake to offer (Dasai 45). So 5 stars for quality relative to the local environment, but don’t expect it to rock your world like a great sushi restaurant in a major city.

First time here! Yall, good lordt this place is delicious. After getting my hair did (hehe ), I decided to come over and get some sushi for lunch. Such a goooooood decision! Upon entering, I was promptly greeted and seated. After prousing the menu for a few minutes, my server, who was fantastic btw, took my order of one of their lunch specials and some hot sake. Now look, I know it’s hotter than you know what out there right now, but dang it, I want my sake!

Very disappointed that I have to take Oishi off my favorite places to visit. I ate two pieces of the Curry Chicken Katsu, I noticed some of the chicken didn’t look right. I kindly notified to waiter and all I was told is that “we have sold more questionable looking food on the menu, it’s just the chicken part, and there’s nothing I can do about that” that makes me question the food quality, and doesn’t really offer a solution for my problem. He left our table and my friends and I are left looking at the chicken in disbelief that he really thought there was nothing wrong with it. There is clear discoloration, and all he could say is that it was the “chicken part” I don’t know what kind of chicken parts they’re using, but that’s not normal. Not once did a manager come assess the situation, or anyone be apologetic towards receiving poor quality food. Even the girl that took the plate back looked at it in disgust. They must have realized that there was something wrong, because when they took it back, they agreed not to charge me for it. Our first waiter came back and asked if I wanted something different AND THEN apologized after someone else (that was not a manager) handled the situation. I was very disappointed with the way everything was handled, and I’m simply putting this here to warn anyone of their food quality, at least in the chicken. I’ve never had any issues with their sushi.

Oishi was the first place I ate at when I got to College station. Amazing food and service. Sushi is great, the Diablo roll is a must. Best Beef Lo Mein ever, and the General Tso’s shrimp is the bomb!!!

I’ve eaten here probably around 10 times and the food and service are always spot on. First time I had the Mongolian Beef (sorry no pics) and it was delicious. This time I had the Hot and Sour Soup to start and then Sizzling Pepper Beef. My girlfriend had Chicken Pad Thai, both were awesome. Y’all need to check this place out, great service, great food (both in taste and presentation) and pretty cool atmosphere.

The portion of food become very small. And two pieces of pork belly has only fat. They refuse to return and only gave us 10%off on that dish. Very disappointing, I won’t come back again.

This place is amazing! I didn’t know that Oishi Sushi existed until a coworker recommended it, and I am glad I decided to visit. There is a large selection so it was hard to choose, but the lunch roll and sushi combo hit the spot.
