Rating this place a 3 because I didn’t dine in nor did I order food. But 5 in service from the bartender and 5 for the atmosphere. I’ve always driven past this place but never thought to go inside and take a peak. And OMG this place is absolutely beautiful. The ambiance is very elegant and soft. Soft lighting. Waterfall fireplace. Music playing at a low tone in the background. Big screen television. From what I can see and from what I smelled, my senses are telling me that food is going to taste great when I do go back to dine in. Also, I went on a Wednesday for karaoke.

Out on a Saturday Night with my wife and decided to go to Yonkers for an evening out. We’ve heard of this place that had amazing southern style seafood and we decided to try it. I ordered the fried catfish with side order of black eyed peas and my wife had the shrimp and grits. For my catfish, it had the best flavored batter and seasoned just right. The black eyed peas had excellent flavor. My wife loved and enjoyed her shrimp and grits. We also shared the hush puppies which were delicious. They have a full serve bar with a great list of mixed drinks of which we had plenty off. The ambience and decor are great to have dinner in along with the excellent service. The owner/cook came by our table to see how everything was which was a great touch. We will be returning for their brunch if which I heard is excellent.

I’ve been here a few times; the hush puppies are very good, 5/5. The cornbread is great. The jerk chicken is surprisingly good (very spicy, but I like that). The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because, both times I’ve ordered it, the fried fish is deeply average. I know what fish and chips is supposed to taste like; the whiting is flimsy, mostly batter, and leaves me feeling a bit queasy afterwards. This is the first food in my life to ever give me heartburn, and I eat fried foods quite a lot. The breakfast buffet is not worth it—the waffles are burnt.

We did carry out. Everything was soooooo good! We had fried whiting, fried shrimp, hushpuppies, greens, and sweet potato fries. The portions are nice! Even though we didn’t eat there, I know they take care of people. Andre handled our order and was so warm. We almost wanted to go back afterward and try more! We will definitely be coming back and telling everybody to visit.

My experience here was absolutely amazing. I’m from Arizona and I was on vacation. A friend of mine suggested this place, and I’m grateful that he did. The Chef did absolutely AMAZING! The host, and waiter were very friendly and fulfilled all of our needs. The Atmosphere was “Off the hook”

We had a great time at Off the Hook Yonkers!! It was my mother’s birthday and we brought a 20+ crowd including all of the kids from my family. The service was great. The staff was accommodating and the food was delicious! Good portions, well seasoned soul food/seafood. We also utilized the bar and had a few specialty cocktails. Our regards to the chef! Everything was pretty good. One of my draw backs is that the catfish is actually catfish strips and the fried chicken was a tad burnt and could use a little more seasoning( the seasoning from the picture is what I placed on it). The sides were pretty okay – I really liked the catfish batter just wished the portions were increased but otherwise okay

Ordered the 2 piece whiting and chips. First and foremost when receiving my order, the presentation was horrible. My food came in a cheap brown cardboard box. Fries were cold and soggy, as if they were fried a week ago. Now let’s get to the fish, I’ve ordered fried whiting at many seafood restaurants. Never have I ever ordered fried whiting fish that was so bland and taste like fish sticks. Not sure where these reviews come from, but its obvious they’re friends and family members trying to build clientele. I will never order from this establishment again. HORRIBLE! If I could give them zero stars I would!
