I am disappointed with Baton Rouge restaurants closing at 9pm on weekends! So, I decided to try Off the Hook before it closed. They must have run out of bread, so no po boys. I ordered the catfish platter. The fish was crispy and tender with average seasonings and fries were not seasoned but good. The three small hush puppies were very favorable and very tasty. The accompany of store sauce had a particular flavor that wasn’t to my liking. I specifically requested lemon wedges and came out empty for my fish. The food is good for fast food restaurant.

I read the reviews first and decided to go here for the first time. I visited this location around 4:45 pm and it wasn’t busy… I was disappointed! I ordered catfish platter, 2 chicken tender platter, and a catfish Po boy. The only item that was good was the tender platter. The fries were okay but the fish was hard and dry like it had been sitting under a heating lamp all day and fried in old grease. I don’t think I’ll be back! But I will say this CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS ON POINT!! The young lady at the drive thru was very very nice!

I had a great experience at the Thibodaux location. I was told to try the fish next time. I went to the drive thru in Gonzales and ordered the shrimp and fish with a drink for $19. A little steep for the food in the photo (I ate some of the fries while their were hot before snapping the picture), but the shrimp and fries were hot and tasty. I was disappointed that the fish was barely warm. Clearly, it was sitting for a minute. It was ok, a little hard, still edible, but I wish it was fresh for true review. Hushpuppies were delicious. The food was ready within a minute or two, but if I return to this location, I’ll go in for a “made to order” to ensure everything is fresh.

Great service. Food was decent small portions of catfish . The seafood gumbo was not so good at all sorry Shrimp was good as well. Blacked ranch sauce was bomb. Don’t forget to try their raspberry lemonade one of a kind If you’re around the area stop by and grab something to eat.

Off the Hook in Baton Rouge is a seafood paradise that truly lives up to its name. When the cashier Jasiah recommended their etouffee, I couldn’t resist giving it a try, and boy, was I hooked! The flavors were a symphony of Louisiana goodness, dancing on my taste buds with each delicious bite. I have to give her a shoutout for impeccable service with positive vibes also to Kemyrie, who not only expedited my order but also delivered it with a smile . Talk about fast !

Excellent service! Tim did an above and beyond job to accommodate my family when we pulled up late!!!! He didn’t turn us away and made my step dad birthday a great one! Very good food. This location has good management that keeps the place clean and the employees are friendly and attentive. Such a rare thing in B.R. but they have it. My daughter and I have made this place a regular stop. The swamp fries are ordered every time we go.
