Wasn’t great. The sushi was dry and lacked flavor. I think the YUM YUM sauce was ketchup and mustard mixed together. It looked way better than it tasted. Teraki was too sweet. The rice and chicken was meh.

This is probably the best sushi you can get for this price. I’ve tried the crunch crab roll, the spicy crab roll and the shrimp tempura roll. I was slightly reserved about coming here given the cheap prices, but the food was good and I have no real complaints. I gave this review 5 stars because of the quality to price ratio. This is definitely a convenience restaurant great for people on a budget who want sushi.

Ordered Hibachi Steak from Tokyo Express in Northport last night and from OEC Japanese tonight. The prices are basically the same. Tokyo Express may cost a few cents more but is clearly more worth it as the quality of the food and the taste is much more superior. Tokyo Express comes with a variety of green vegetables whereas OEC basically just comes with a bunch of carrots. Even the sauce from Tokyo Express tastes much better in comparison. OEC comes with a salad and Tokyo Express comes with a soup.

Not too thrilled about the service, at all, but hell, she probably wouldn’t care about the reviews on her lack of good service. We stood in front of her and she asked us for our order, as we started telling her, she takes a phone call and we both look at each other like WTH! She takes a call-in order right there in front of us…. if I wasn’t so hungry we would’ve left! I don’t live in Alabama, but I’m for sure going to dismiss this place as an option to visit again! Not worth it at all, even though the food was great! Glad she wasn’t preparing the food!
