Cozy little diner. Good food. The Christmas decor I must say was impressive. Pictured below: Egg Salad Sandwich. Tuna sandwich. Cup of sausage Gumbo. Chicken Tender Sub with onion rings.

This diner was everything I had hoped it would be. Great ambiance, large comfy booths, super friendly staff and fantastic comfort food. The country fried steak was smothered in gravy, yet every delicious bite was still crispy. The hash browns were glorioult crunchy and oh…did I mention the corned beef hash? My oh my, it had the perfect amount of spicy. And the biscuit took up it’s own plate it was so large. I can’t say enough about how great my breakfast was. I’ll be back!

Warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent breakfast, perfect coffee. We stopped in on a bleak and rainy Sunday morning, tired of hotel and chain faire. I’d suggested Allan do a search of “where do the locals eat?” Less than a 10-minute drive from where we were staying was this gem of a place. It was hopping early(ish) in the day in spite of the weather. I ordered the ham and eggs with grits and a biscuit — and got so much I couldn’t clean my plate. Allan got the belly buster, which he tucked into with gusto. We left full and happy and ready to face the last day of a three-day convention, fully revitalized. Thanks in part to the good food, but also thanks to the sweet ladies who kept my coffee topped up and Allan’s water glass full. Even when the place was slammed, they had a smile for us.
