History on the first Mexican Restuararnt in
Henderson county
1969 A man by the name of A.M Barnes enjoyed it so
much he encouraged him to open the First
Mexican Restaurant in Henderson County.
Concerned because he did not speak English,
Barnes assured Ochoa that he would help him. A tiny
house turned into the start of a big dream that
became a reality. The family legacy known as
Ochoa’s Mexican Restaurant was born. As Mr Ochoa
culinary reputation spread through the area, he
incorporated his family into the business. Their
business doubled and ever since they have been
really busy. Proudly serving the finest in Mexican
cuisine to Henderson County since 1969, We pride
ourselves in providing quality and authentic Mexican
food for so many years

Great food, friendly service, nice atmosphere. The salsa was good but spicey. All the flavors were on point. Our server recommended the charro beans over refried and it was a great call. They were delicious!! We got the build your own enchilada plate and the Ochoa’s Special. Everything was really good and great prices!

My wife and I visit this wonderful place on a regular basis. We have had a wide variety of meals and never been disappointed. Meals are fresh, service is really good, and the salsa ranks in our top 3. We always look forward to our next time there.

This is a fantastic example how traditional Mexican cousine can blow your socks off. It’s all about the food and it will make you enjoy and fall in love with the odd decorations and the atmosphere. This is hard core local spot. But back to the food. First of all the salsa has an amazing fresh and flavorful taste – I cannot think of any other good comparisons. Truly unique and so good. After tasting their Tómales you will want to order another order to go. The charro beans are another must have. Cannot wait to be back!
