Didnt have sushi but turf side was good. The kids baked mac and the shrimp platter were great. Roast beef sandwich, I’m pretty sure that gravy was homemade. Either good eats here. Thank you, we’ll be back

I absolutely hate leaving negative feedback for a restaurant but there are glaring issues at the time this is being written. Before Bones-n-Shells took over, Ocean San was a solid destination for good quality sushi, now Ocean San is an obviously an afterthought at this operation. The atmosphere feels like they are running two seperate restaurants out of the same dining room (they are). The sushi menu is a slap if you like sushi.. lots of bacon, BBQ sauce (???) and lacking rolls with eel, tuna, etc. I am totally fine with all of this if the product is tasty, but sadly that was the most disappointing part of all. Oversized disproportionate rolls, wrapped lousily, smothered in sauce, embarrassing really. $73 for 3 sushi rolls and 2 waters. We were charged for King size for all 3, even though we were not asked what size we wanted. I could’ve asked when we ordered, but not asking and assuming the largest size is shady. When it doubles the price of the food item, ask what size people want. Very sad to see a formerly good restaurant in freefall.

This was my first visit. Overall, my friend and I enjoyed our visit. The restaurant is very clean and has a comfortable atmosphere. Waitress was good/professional. Things we think have room for improvement: The dynamite roll was too wide. The mushrooms in the shitake mushroom roll were overcooked or preserved: the mushrooms lacked any texture.

This place is nestled in the corner of a small shopping center. Though it is small it has a very nice inside. Now I’m not a sushi connoisseur but I do eat sushi at least three times a week. The shumai were LARGE I mean at least double the size of the ones sold in a majority of restaurants. Flavor wasn’t bad though the wrapping was a little doughy. The shrimp tempura rolls were normal size but the tempura was soft with no crispness and the eel sauce they used was very thin causing it to saturate the rice and leave a small puddle at the bottom of the plate. Dynamite Rolls weren’t bad taste wise but the fish was over cooked making it tough. I’m not saying don’t come here but if you are a tad bit of a sushi snob this is not the place for you.

The prices were really high for the amount of food you got. The lowest prices for sushi was $20 and the prices averaged around $30-$40. The prices were not worth the amount of sushi rolls you got either. On top of prices, they also charge extra if you pay with a card rather than cash. Also one of the servers was drinking white claw while working.

Spectacular food (sushi) and service. We went to sushi place and saw it was closed. But now in Bones and Shells. We were about to leave…looked like a bar ..smoking a bunch outside…so thought it would smell like a bar. Wrong. It was awesome. Great cool new kinds of sushi. We will be back.

Got ribs, crab cake, shrimp. All was phenomenal even the cole slaw. Would definitely recommend to all!!! Prices were great and the waitress was very accommodating. Way to go !!!!

Grabbed some takeout and was thoroughly impressed! The staff was very friendly, recommend the Sugar Daddy and Sugar Momma! Service was quick and sushi was excellent!

My significant other and I went here for a date night last night. I was surprised to see a sushi place in York I hadn’t already heard of or been to, tucked away neatly in the little shopping center I know typically for the Corner Stable restaurant. It’s a cozy, unassuming restaurant with a very clean, modern look to it. The service was fantastic- I don’t think we ever really had to ask for beverage refills (they were ON it!).
