This used to be my go-to for Chinese but the last few times I ordered I either got the wrong thing and/or the meat was way overcooked. I never order fried rice but almost every time I order plain from here I get fried instead.

We have been going to Ocean Palace for years, their food has been consistently fresh!! They are always accommodating to personalized or specific orders and their prices are comparable to other Chinese food places. Hands down best in the Thorndale, Downingtown, Coatesville area!

If I could give this place no stars I would as one star is generous. Food is terrible and over priced. Recently ordered won ton soup and the broth was watered down. It literally had no taste. I had other family members who tasted it and said the same thing. Had to put it down the drain. The shrimp fried rice was worse. Shrimp were like mush and rice was dried out like it had been kept out in a warmer. Egg roll was burnt. Paid 40.00 for my food and husband’s. Waaayyy over priced for the worst Chinese food in the Caln/Downingtown area. Go to Okini if want good, quality Chinese food. This place ought to be shut down by the health dept.

I was very pleased with my order. I ordered 2 lunch combo platters. The shrimp lo mein with pork fried rice for my daughter and chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice for myself. It was the best Chinese food I’ve had in this area. The broccoli was perfectly cooked and the chicken tasted and looked like real chicken. All of it was delicious. I was tempted to order again the next day!! It was that good.

I ordered a few things from Ocean Palace today. The combos and everything else was great but the fried chicken I got for my daughters was covered in weird hair, so I called them and they replaced my food with something of slightly less value because I refused to get more wings. They were fairly nice about it and offered to deliver it which was really considerate.

I got a general tso lunch special with an extra egg roll, the rice and egg rolls were good but there was only a tiny amount of chicken, the pieces were so small it was pretty much just breading and no spiciness at all. I don’t feel like it was worth the money at all.

Having manners & any basic understanding of customer service would make this place run better. The guy on the phone taking my order took awhile to get my order he kept saying “i cant hear you, what was that”. i hung up in frustration and ordered two hours later for dinner instead of lunch. The order was for one large sweet & sour chicken with a small order of roasted pork lo mein. Order took almost an hour to get here after 45 minutes i got a call asking what my address was AGAIN. I told them the correct address & they just said ok then hung up 10 minutes later they show up read the total shove the bag in my face.Then he walks off with not saying thank you once or anything like sorry for being late? pretty sad how bad the customer service was. Sweet & sour sauce seemed quite watered down barely any taste but the lo mein was good but chicken was cold…
