The staff was amazing and fast! The drinks were delicious and the pork nachos were SO GOOD!! The sunset here is amazing! It’s the perfect few to see the sun setting on the water. The pool was clean and there was plenty of sitting available!

My friends and I were staying at the condos that are a part of the Ocean Club Restaurant. Kathy and Daniel made us feel like family every time we came into the ocean club. The food was great and the drinks were perfection. If you get the opportunity to eat here, try a freedom flow drink!

Recent review of discrimination is certainly believable! We are second year, returning guests. Don’t dare make a noise during old bald white guy cultural appropriation time at sunset or you will be reprimanded. Not friendly to children or families.

A nice pool area with options to order from the cafe near by. Lots of loungers and some located in the pools themselves. Upper pool area is divided by a rock wall having a depth of 1.5 feet. The deepest pool is 4 feet deep. We didn’t eat here but enjoyed our visit.

A great place to dine at if you are nearby or living at the Halii kai resort. This place has one of the freshest and most flavorful poke fish tacos that I have come across in Hawaii. The bar and grill is located directly next to the pool and gym and also beside the coast so if you want to sit back, relax and grab a bite without having to worry about the kids, this would be the perfect location. The menu and drinks menu is quite extensive, covering a range of vegetarian and non vegetarian options.

Had multiple awesome experiences at the Ocean Club during our stay on the big island. The drinks (especially the Mai Tai’s) are delicious! Make sure to get there early if you want a lounge chair as they do tend to fill up. Only thing I wish was different was the early closing time so we could stay there a bit longer!

My family and I spend 7 days at hali’i kai. The food is great, the drinks are just average. However, the staff and service is horrendous and feels discriminatory. Specially from the older gal with fake lips (botox). I started to observe how well she treated clients that fell in the Caucasian category. She makes small talk to them, is attentive to their needs, goes to their tables and delivered their food/drinks. With me and my family, it’s a whole different story. I would have to ask her for a second or third drink or wait for another server. I could how bad she disliked me and it’s one of the few times I’ve ever felt like this.
