The food is not as good as it use to be. I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce combination, with an egg roll and crab rangoon. I only had 3 shrimp in the order and close to 10 ounces of very dried pork fried rice. Definitely. Not worth what I paid for.!

Great place for takeout – food was hot, fresh, and not completely deep fried/dripping in oil. Staff was very polite! Happy to make this my new takeout place

Ocean chef was so good . It was my first time and they did not disappoint! I had the egg foo young dinner and a General Tso. I like that the rice is light in color and the oil was fresh for the fried food. This could be my new favorite spot.

Took a ride to the Plymouth store cause I had called the corporate office looking for Tera Cotta pots. With it being a seasonal item most stores were sold out but the corporate customer service guy Josh was extremely helpful and found a bunch of them close to where I lived and transferred me to the Plymouth store where the store manager put them aside for me. I’m only giving 4 Stars because like most Ocean State stores it was very cluttered and messy. For someone like myself it can be a bit overwhelming.

Crab Rangoons & egg rolls were ok, fried rice was horrible. Like it had been sitting for two weeks then reheated. Lo main was completely bland and the chicken wings seemed on the verge of being spoiled. Would not go again. Unfortunately they were closed very shortly after I picked up this food and I couldn’t return it.

The food is not bad, however there are plenty of much better Chinese restaurants in Plymouth. This reminds me of Chinese food in FL, you can tell it’s Chinese food but it is lacking in flavor. You would be much better off going to Happy Garden (for take out, not a pretty place but the food is great!), Sun Dynasty (for dine in, nice on waterfront) or Red Tea Garden. On the other hand if you are satisfied with unremarkable Chinese food then you may be well pleased with Ocean Chef!

Food was VERY good and they give a lot of it

Quick service but the women who take the orders are very rude. They expect you to understand their broken English and when you don’t they get upset. I’m bilingual myself but I would never yell at someone who doesn’t understand me especially a customer

The food tastes great! I have never had a meal that’s been over or undercooked. It’s not greasy like some Chinese places and I don’t get headaches because no MSG. After China Pilgrim closed in Carver I haven’t really had a go to Chinese place, but this has become it. The people are also extremely nice every time I’ve been in. As a heads up it’s not really a sit-down place they have 2 small 2 person tables and they have tea while you’re waiting, but it’s definitely a takeout place.
