I saw that this place just opened last year so I wanted to stop by and try it. There is free parking on the main street. We arrived on a Sunday around 140pm so the rush hour was almost over. We just waited a few minutes to be seated while they got the table cleaned and we sat and with the menu on hand ordered drinks. They do offer alcoholic drinks as well. We made the order of food and it came out not long after, unfortunately it was not accurate so had to wait a bit longer for us to get the right dish. I think it was the communication to the person preparing the food, the server did apologized about the mix up and I understand it can happen. As for the food, it was good, a bit salty but then again I think that’s just me because I am not used to eating with much salt. As for the presentation of the drinks and food, I really liked that. The restaurant is cozy and well decorated with a couple of big paintings. I liked the pistachio pancakes, yummy. The total for two was 70 plus tip so not bad at all.

Really enjoyed our meal here! Lots of walk-in seating available on a Thursday night, service was friendly and attentive and the food was really quite delicious. I must admit that I felt the prices were a tad high for the fairly simple (basic) menu, but the food we had was definitely tasty and I’d go back if in the area again. I wish I had known it was BYOB, what a great bonus!! 4.5*

Amazing little taco joint. My wife and I ordered the chips and salsa, the chicken wings, the quesabirria, and the drunken shrimp & mussels. Everything was phenomenal. From their house made sauces that came with the chips, to the shrimp and mussels doused in their delicious tequila sauce. Plus the service was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

Amazing dinner experience! The decor and music were lively and inviting. The menu is full of craft Mexican dishes, it was hard to pick what to order. The Elote appetizer was sweet and savory with a wonderful grilled flavor. The Ceviche had a spicy habanero salsa that kicked it up. Langostinos and Birria were definitely the right choices for entrees, both were phenomenal. Owners are friendly and welcoming, this place is truly a perfect addition to the neighborhood and a gem worth seeking out.

This is the best brunch in Chicago!!#1 its a mind blowing experience. The poblano pepper omelet was an egg cloud with a balanced pepper flavor and the red moleisc sauce is just the thing to make all those flavors pop. I Have to mention the potatoes which is side that comes on several dishes is something special, if you hate potatoes; these potatoes will change your mind. The chilaqulies was no different with great balance of flavors of black beans, ranchero salsa, and tortilla chips gets spun in a signature green salsa that is so good that you just want to drink a cup of it. To finish the mind altering strawberry pancakes that are fluffy and has just the perfect what I call a “gummy” component to the texture, and the homemade strawberry whipping cream that makes each bite heaven.

We had an amazing dinner at Ocaso! The owner is SO nice and makes sure that every guest feels welcomed. We started with the elote and guacamole, both phenomenal, and the presentation of the elote was so cool in the beautiful blue boat dish. For entrees we had tacos and the chicken enchiladas, all amazing! Cannot wait to come back.

This little GEM is amazing. Stopped in on opening day and you could fell that the staff and ownership was ready to serve. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a beau fitful evening. We started with complementary “opening day” muscles! Such great flavor! Ceviche and Guacamole served with warm chips and fresh salsa. We brought our own margaritas (bar is not yet open) The server brought us fresh glasses with salt, excellent attention to detail. I had the Arrachera Steak, Panela Fried Cheese and peppers, excellent flavor My friends had tacos and enchiladas. Everything was so fresh and favorable, we can’t wait to come back! Welcome to the neighborhood 🙂

This place is an excellent spot to enjoy some fantastic Mexican food. It’s not run of the mill by any stretch as well. The langostinos were my favorite dish we ordered. Also, the elotes and ceviche are must haves. We will definitely be back.
