Obaitori Ramen in Milpitas is a hidden gem. Small and cozy! We loved their appetizer, the Squid Karaage Namban was light + crispy and so yummy with the aïoli sauce, the spicy Chicken Karaage was so crispy and juicy at the same time, and the Hiyayakko Tofu Dashi was so refreshing.

Truly a gem hidden in a old plaza and the fact that they don’t get barely any customers is criminal. I would say this place is very underrated and that Negi getting all the spot light isn’t really fair. The squid paiten is deep in flavor and umami with it being overwhelmed with salt. The chashu is tender and the sprinkle of Tokyo negi is such a harmony of flavor that I don’t want this restaurant to disappear. The service is quick and prompted. The decor light and minimalistic. The dark floor contrasting the light color furniture works really well. Do give this place a chance and support your local small business!

Came for the regular tsukemen w/spicy and it did not disappoint. Love the deep flavor of the dipping sauce. We also enjoyed the chashu rice bowl. They also serve aburasoba, ramen, many other sides and drinks/alcohol. Clean and cute atmosphere good for small parties. Certainly underrated place considering we went in Sat lunch with no wait. Easy parking in plaza lot at the time we went. Def a new favorite local ramen spot–check it out!

Plenty of open tables Saturday at 1pm for lunch. Service was very fast and attentive. Food came out quickly. I’ve never had seafood ramen before and it was great since I’m tired of all ramen places serving tonkotsu.

After trying more than 20+ ramen shops in SF Bay Area, this is definitely one of the best. I have been to Obaitori for more than 5 times. It never disappointed me. All kinds of ramen are super delicious and authentic! Highly recommended for their tsukemen and squid broth ramen. Super delicious!!

Good sized portions, good quality chashu and noodles, but the dipping soup was a little cool. It was great when I first started eating but was less satisfying as the meal went on since the soup cooled off quite a bit

My coworker suggested ramen for lunch just because it was a cold day. We been to a bunch of ramen shops around Milpitas already so I decided to try a different place. I had expectations going into this.

The ramen here is excellent. Very well-balanced taste-wise and quantity wise. It would not leave its guest feels full and heavy after dining while remaining its worth of the price.
