Absolutely incredible. Rivals the best restaurants in VT for sure. Crudos were fantastic. Every dish is extremely unique and deserves tremendous attention. Culinary excellence all around + friendly staff means we’ll be back again!

A little disappointed with our special occasion dinner. The mushroom bao buns were the highlight of the meal with great flavors. The celery root puree with ravioletto was very salty. The pineapple tartine was very good but the chocolate cake was dry and probably would have been better a couple days earlier. The service was exceptional.

Updated review, July 2023: Everything below is still true, but now it’s even less in dispute. O&E is the best restaurant in Vermont. The new menu is fantastic, and they have hit their groove.

Soft shell bao bun was excellent, I enjoyed it very much. Scallop and pork belly was good. The steak was slightly overdone (not medium rare as ordered). Chocolate desert was a mousse with strawberries and raspberries for nice ending that was not too sweet.

Outstanding! Parking was easy and free right in front. Amazingly, we walked right in without a reservation and we’re seated immediately. This place is busy and they accommodated us seamlessly.

We loved this restaurant so much that we went back for dinner after having brunch at the same day. We were happy surprise by every dish we ordered. The ingredients are fresh, and every element of the dish is creatively put together that makes it unique and flavorful. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Vermont.

Perfect day for light brunch fare topped with a few glasses of Prosecco! Service was excellent also! The boas were spicy but delicious. Vermont tomatoes….so fresh!

The soft shell crab bao is terrific. My steak was good but it was cooked a little beyond the medium rare that I ordered.

Wow this place is absolutely amazing! All of the food was fresh and in season, as well as prepared with extreme attention to detail. Chef Justin has an incredible palate, and was really able to execute on all of the flavors. It’s really hard to choose two favorites from everything we had, but I would have to say the crispy octopus and the fontina tortellini. 10/10 we will be coming back here. Cannot stress enough how friendly and welcoming the staff was in addition to the high caliber food.

It’s one of the best places to dine in Montpelier. The food was good. The staff was super friendly and they even helped me customize my dish as I’m a vegetarian. It’s a decent size restaurant with a good decor. I would recommend the Spicy Szechuan Shakshouka and also the Local Mushroom Toast. The coffee was super nice. I don’t usually like coffee everywhere but they had good ones.
