Oak’d BBQ is a relatively new barbecue joint in Dallas that has quickly become one of the city’s best. The restaurant is known for its high-quality meats, which are smoked over oak wood for hours. I recently tried the 3-meat platter with brisket, ribs, and cheddar jalapeño sausage, and I was not disappointed. The brisket was tender and flavorful, the ribs were fall-off-the-bone, and the sausage was perfectly spiced. I also tried the beans, slaw, collard greens, and squash medley, and all of the sides were excellent. The beans were smoky and flavorful, the slaw was on the bland side but still good, the collard greens were tender and cooked to perfection, and the squash medley was a delicious mix of roasted vegetables.

Had a late lunch there yesterday, my first visit. Brisket was excellent, very moist and tender–no knife required. Great sides. Sauces were awesome but definitely not necessary for the brisket. Not pictured: the huge slice of carrot cake I took home with me; I had read that they have the best desserts in town and you’ll get no argument from me.

We grabbed lunch here around noon on 7/12. I ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, and jalapeño cheese sausage with a side of collard greens and roasted veggies. The brisket and pulled pork were juicy and tender. The sausage was creamy in texture because of the cheese and it had the bold flavor of jalapeños without being very spicy at all. The collard greens were absolutely fantastic! And the roasted veggies were cooking perfectly and seasoned to match. We enjoyed our time at this establishment with an amazing meal.

Great place to eat! I got the beef ribs and now need to find an excuse to go have it again as soon as possible. Staff was friendly and fast. One of my new favorite BBQ locations!

Me and my friend had a nice time here. The vibe was chill and service was really good. We didn’t have any wait time on ordering or even getting help. The food was delicious, very very tasty!! 10/10

OMG. I came to Dallas for the BBQ and I found it. This was probably the best BBQ I’ve had in a really long time. Will definitely return and recommend to anyone who asks.

Seriously generous portions. Come hungry, leave full. Great service and helpful with what to choose for a first time customer. Would like to see more BBQ sauce options on the tables, but the ones provided were delicious.
