We very much enjoyed our breakfast!! Friendly staff and huge portions. We came on a Wednesday at 8am. Love the Western Decor, feels like a family owned restaurant in Texas! My only disappointment, is that I didn’t come here sooner, since living in Yucaipa.

I haven’t been into the Oak House restaurant in sometime. It’s very cozy, comfortable and the food was fantastic! My husband had a breakfast burrito with eggs, chorizo and potatoes. It was really hearty with a lot of meat and potatoes. I had the Belgian waffle with eggs and bacon. The Belgian waffle was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and tasted great. My son had the pork chop breakfast and said it was delicious. The service was excellent. The waitresses were very courteous and attentive. It was a really great breakfast!

We arrived and were told to sit anywhere. We sat and waited for menus for 15 minutes. The table next to us was seated after us and had their menus, drinks and food long before we did. The menu clearly warned that they charge $2.50 to share food, it is printed several times throughout the menu. Dining with children, sharing is a regular occurrence. I did not like feeling that I was doing something wrong sharing with the kids. It took another 20 minutes for a server to take our order. I had the Country Fried Steak, which had been cooked too long tasted burnt, and was difficult to eat. They had the standard biscuits and gravy, I needed to add salt and pepper. Scrambled eggs and fried potatoes also came with the meal. Not a great meal, probably will not be back.

This was my 1st visit here, had fun just looking at their collection of stuff. Brenda is super sweet and thoughtful. I ordered the hash breakfast with biscuits and gravy. Everything was flavorful except I like the gravy with more bang! Prices are reasonable.

I was excited to eat somewhere new today. Being a foodie and always looking for a new place to try is what I Iive for. The place is unique with it’s country decor, waterfalls, roosters, parrots and koi pond but the food was a disappointment. At first we were all enjoying our food until I found a fried up bug on my plate. Unfortunately I had already ate most of my food when I saw what I thought was hair then I picked it up and realized it was legs from a bug. I moved the fries and low and behold there was the fried up bug. Not sure what it was. Was told by the waitress that there was no way it could have been a bug since it would have disintegrated in the fryer which is not true. I do have to say the waitress was amazing and nice it’s not her fault. It was the cooks fault. Who not only obviously do not pay attention to when they are cooking but also were not wearing a mask while cooking. Will I ever be back? Idk. It truly grossed me out. I would visit just to see their awesome decor outside but that’s about it.

Finally tried this restaurant…Portobello mushrooms dinner was okay, my friend tried the Lamb Chops, baked potato was cold not cooked correctly. I would suggest going to this restaurant on weekends only when dinner room is open. A little disappointed but I’m willing to try it again.
