Made a reservation on mothers day to avoid the wait. First walking in the place has a smell too it. It also had like a some what nostalgic family ran setting/vibe to it. The service was a little aggressive from our waiter which was a bit odd. It was my first time here and I felt rushed when making decisions off the menu. The food took forever, and I was there for over an hour and it wasnt even that packed when we had ordered. When the food finally arrived it wasnt bad at all. Plenty of flavor. Definitely try the Ogil house steak. The gravy was great. The place is very spacious and has a decent amount of seats. The portions are indeed big. You pay for what you get. All and all an okay place for some good food.

I wanted to try some Portuguese cuisine, and this the first spot I thought of trying. It had a nice atmosphere to it. I got my order my order was shrimp Mozambique, just only shrimp Mozambique with no fries and no rice. And I order the o’gil steak house, food was okay. I didn’t like how they put the Mozambique in a whole take out box, barely any broth was inside the box mostly was outside the bag. And unfortunately made a whole mess in my car, with the broth. Please next time put the Mozambique inside a plastic container not in the take out box thank you. And I saw a lot of plastic containers. Or just at least double up the bag with my Mozambique thank you. Not impressed.

I got their Pork and Little Necks meal.Everything was Delicious and cooked perfectly.. I my wish they served a few more Clams and had more Broth, buy otherwise, Perfect!

First time I’ve been back to O’Gils in over 12 years & there house steak with French fries red peppers & two eggs over easy with there great thin gravy & plus extra juice to pour on your fries & fresh rolls to dunk into the juice absolutely awesome, can’t wait to go back as I live in Conn

This place has the best Portuguese steak around. Servings are large, but the prices are great! It has a bit of an outdated interior, but the food and service is excellent and makes up for that.

Don’t waste your time. They charge a ridiculous amount of money for a steak sandwich and put 3 tiny pieces of steak in it. Not even enough to cover the bread. If you go to caravela and get a sandwich you can remove some of the steak and make a whole other sandwich! And it’s cheaper and tastes so much better. I do not recommend this place at all. At caravela you can get more for dor less money and it tastes so much better. I only ordered from here because caravela wasn’t answering the phone.
