I walked in here during the weekend of the 4th of July, and surprisingly, the place was not crowded. I was blown away by the fresh oysters (raw and grilled are both amazing); they were reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The catch of the day was exceptional as well, and the purple rice was a delightful surprise. The service was attentive, and the overall experience was fantastic.

To be completely fair, the only reason I came here was a Bulldog Food Tour. I’m not a huge seafood fan. However, I ended up trying the she crab soup and shrimp and grits. I loved both of them! I was sad that we didn’t get bigger portions and our time was limited there. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very cozy.

Fantastic oyster bar. The shuckers and bartender were awesome. We had a mix of the oysters on a half shell, the baja fish tacos and the shrimp roll.

The bartender was awesome. She was very knowledgeable and helped me pick great options for food and drinks since I’m from out of town. Oysters were great.

Our favorite Oyster Bar and Low-Country Boil spot in Charleston! Ask for Ivan. He’s the master shucker. You can tell he loves his job….which means a lot of us. He and the other staff were extremely nice, friendly, knowledgeable, gave great service….everything you can ask for a relaxing and delicious brunch experience. We found O Bar last year and will be repeat customers each year from here on out when we make our annual trip to Charleston. Thanks guys! Keep up the great service. See you next year.

Got there as they were opening on Sunday for brunch. Welcoming staff, great vibe. Yummy oysters with fun presentation. Our server was so nice- I am sorry I forget his name but he described everything so well and was so fun as my son was trying oysters for the first time. The shrimp boil was nicely done and loved trying fried okra for the first time. Being a visitor to town just walking through the market , we were so glad to find O Bar. Definitely recommend.

Nice seafood dinner. Enjoyed the happy hour prices for oysters. $1 per. Service was good. Only complaint is the ridiculous policy of 4% surcharge if using a credit card.

Great selection of oysters with a good cheap option for us to get a lot. My first time having she crab soup which did not disappoint. The shrimp and grits were good but a little under seasoned. We ended up paying 125 for a dinner for 2 plus 2 drinks so definitely a little on the pricey side.

The raw oysters during happy hour were a joke. They were not cleaned and opened properly. The grilled ones were so tasteless, dry and salty. We could barely eat both plates with raw and cooked oysters. Server was carried away. He did not know when the happy hour starts and ends. Not impressed at all by this restaurant. Not sure why the good reviews.

The best calamari and bacon wrapped shrimp that I have ever had. The employees were amazing and we had such a great time. I loved everything that I tasted there. Such a great dining experience. We sat right at bar where shuckers were. They had us laughing and having a good time!!
