Found this lovely little spot driving back to Charleston from Greensboro. It’s your grandma’s kitchen with all the fixins. The food was delicious, and plenty of it. We didn’t get the salad bar, but it was all fresh veggies and fruits. Everything was clean and tasty, the service was great. The kind of food that sticks to your ribs and reminds you of home. I will definitely return and recommend others.

This is a redneck country place and it’s small but it has great food and has a salad bar and the service was excellent.. I got a double bacon cheeseburger with chili and slaw with fries and my father got a fish plate with coleslaw green beans hush puppies and french fries… It all got ate so no complaints

Would have five this place 5* but the place is tiny and it was packed wall to wall. Ik that mask aren’t mandatory any more but ppl were in there coughing and sneezing all over the place.The salad bar looked okay but with all of those germs in the air (rat at your own risk) Except for that if u want food southern cooked food I would definitely recommend this little place.

My mother and myself were out of town visitors to Rockingham on a spur of the moment girls shopping trip. After we were done shopping, we decided to look for a place to eat lunch. Number 1 Diner popped up and had great reviews and since we like diners, we drove over to grab some lunch. As we walked in a waitress said sit anywhere you want. We sat down and a another waitress said what do y’all want to drink. No greeting if the day, no inquiry if we’ve been there before; we ordered our drinks and I asked for a menu. She stated “the menu is on the board” (the white board on the wall) as she walked away from me. As my mom ran to the restroom, I told my mom I don’t think I feel welcomed to eat here. The same waitress then came back and said here’s our menu and threw a piece of paper on the table; that was as menu with burgers and other foods listed on it. Now I’m really annoyed at the lack of customer service and when my mom came back, I said let’s go. I told my mom about the incident with the rude waitress and she agreed that this business didn’t deserve our money. Luckily there was another local restaurant 3 mins away that welcomed us with excellent customer service and great food. I decided to look at the low reviews for Diner -1 (that’s this Diner’s new name in my opinion and also the star rating I wish Google would allow me to rate them) and noticed other citizens also received a “you’re not welcome here” vibe. Shame on you Diner -1 for treating people of ethnic backgrounds like this in the year 2022. Not to mention my mother and myself are both proud Veterans of the military and served to protect this country and people who don’t desire to look past our skin color. Please don’t support businesses that treat others this way. It’s just not right!
