I was excited to try this place. I wanted hibachi, nope. I had to order 2 plates or be 2 Or more persons to have hibachi, ridiculous . I’ve always been able to go solo at any other hibachi restaurant. If you want to order a hibachi combo plate you gotta order from the DINNER menu, nonsense. I ordered the 3 sushi lunch. I had eel avocado roll, spicy crabmeat roll, and shrimp tempura roll. They took forever. Over 15 min for 3 tiny rolls, I mean tiny. The eel must have been newborn and malnourished, barely a sliver per piece. No flavor in the spicy crab and mostly tempura bread crumbs, the tempura shrimp over cooked and chewy. I can see why this place has a 3.7 rating. Really should be lower. The staff is horrendous. Not a smile in the place. No would you like something else, no refill questions, or dessert suggestions. But believe me, that check came quick. Should be “NO”kumi. Very disheartening. Shogun, Akashi, Happy Buddha, Kobe, Benihana I’m coming back.

We’ve eaten here several times and have enjoyed all of our meals. I particularly like their fried rice, hibachi, and sushi. They’re food quality has been consistent over the handful of visits we’ve made and we’ll definitely be back.

Second opportunities can bring positive changes, and that’s certainly my case at Nukumi. After cleaning up their act, this sushi restaurant has become a go-to spot for foodies in search of excellent sushi.

Very nice atmosphere, extensive menu and great presentation. But I felt that all of the flavors were flat. All of the ingredients seemed to be high quality but nothing had the flavor “pop” to bring me back. The spicy edamame was pretty good but the seasoning didn’t pair with the edamame as well as it could have.

I recently had an amazing experience at this Hibachi restaurant! The food was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely delicious. The chef’s knife skills were impressive and added to the overall fun atmosphere. Watching the food being cooked right in front of me was a unique and enjoyable experience. The portions were generous, and the price was reasonable for the quality of food and service provided.

The sushi was some of the best I’ve ever had. Each piece was incredibly fresh and expertly crafted. The menu had a great selection of rolls and nigiri, and the vegetarian options were particularly impressive. The chef clearly takes great pride in their work, and it showed in every dish.

Our server just seemed like she didn’t want to deal with us. We had our 3 year old son with us and he is on the spectrum so today was one of those days he wasn’t happy once we got there. So we got our food to go but once we said that her whole mood changed. I just feel like her customer service skills could have been better.

If I could rate 3.5 I would. We had reservations at 7, which they were not prepared for. We didn’t get our appetizers until 8pm and our chef did not arrive to our table until 8:45 pm. Time management is a must in regards to corrections for this establishment.
