The people who work here make this little gem of a diner feel like home! The service is always top notch and you can’t go wrong with anything you order! I used to really love this place, and I know the soups are homemade and wonderful. However, I recommended this restaurant this weekend to my brother and sister-in-law, who were in town for a funeral. My brother ordered the brisket sandwich, which came on a small plate alone with one very sad, slim piece of swiss cheese and the thin cuts of meat were tightly wound around itself. It looked like an old gray blanket cut into with the bread. There was absolutely no care taken in slapping this sandwich onto the plate. It was the most unappetizing thing I’d ever seen. One bite told him how bland it was. He made a face and asked to send it back. It was ignored and still on the bill when we received the check. He refused to complain or order anything else. I was extremely embarrassed as this is a place that we generally come to. The b l t my sister in law ordered was not much better, and the very picky eater we had with us said he enjoyed it.

I love this deli! The sandwiches and breakfast selection are great, and I love that you get complimentary pickles. My favorite meal is the Hells Gate Chicken Sandwhich. *Chefs Kiss*. It has a good spice that doesn’t overpower the meal. My mom and I dined recently and told them we were in a hurry and they had the food out to us in record time. We are incredibly appreciative of them for the good service.

It was a great day for soup since it was cold when I visited. Had the mushroom barley, and it was served hot, and it was delicious. It was steak night, had the rib eye.. cooked to perfection.

First time there . Friendly staff Fantastic food at still decent prices. I had the country skillet breakfast and damn it was delicious. Wife had the hellgate chicken sandwich that had a sauce with a little kick to it. Just hot enough to get your attention not overwhelming. Will be back for sure.

Food is inconsistent, it’s occasionally very good, other times below average. I’ve ordered the chicken tender dinner twice in the last two weeks, one order was a noticeably smaller portion. The French onion soup is usually very good, a few times it’s been to salty. I eat here several times a month as I work nearby, whenever I order food its a roll of the dice if the food will be good. Prices are slightly above average. The staff are great.
