Really nice home town atmosphere. We were greeted when we walked through the door, and again when the waitress came to our table. Nice selection of items on the menu. I had a double cheese burger and fresh cut suzie-q’s. This is a great place to get off the highway and get a great meal in place with cheerful people.
Growing Back to the Land
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I care for the local patrons. I’m a homesteader and author. I visited here in 2020 and wanted to return for a hot meal. The service was friendly even during the pandemic.

Very nice place with a great wait staff. I had the foot long hot dog with chili and cheese and the onion rings. The hot dog itself was very good, I didn’t care for the chili much, it was a bit sweet and it had beans in it, I thought it was an odd combo for a chili dog. The onion rings were fantastic! I love this style and they were well executed.

We were super excited to try this place on our way to visit our daughter. Our experience was very disappointing and not at all like the reviews we read. The service was unwelcoming to say the least. Our server was more interested in gossiping at the drink station & being on her phone than being at work. We thought the food would be great even if the service was terrible. We were very wrong about that. Nothing we ordered tasted fresh or made to order. Greasy and tasteless. I would recommend skipping this place and trying something else in Fort Scott.

I really liked this place. The meat in my burger (the E3) was excellent quality, and the fries were fresh cut and delicious. The only thing I would change was to keep Miracle Whip 40 miles away from my burger—it’s no substitute for mayo!!

Everything was delicious, had onion rings the southwest burger and Philly cheese steak with Susie Qs. Service was wonderful. Prices are great. I’d highly recommend and if we’re in the area again we’ll be coming back here for sure. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yummy in my tummy. I got the cheeseburger and fries. Cheese burger was great, pickles are delicious, I just wish I got more pickles since I asked for extra pickles. Fries are really greasy, and had minimal salt. That’s no problem, though. The regular fries were very soggy. The service was phenomenal! Our waiter was amazing, given our large group. The price was pretty cheap for the food quality. Will definitely need to stop by for a meal if I come back to Fort Scott!
