On our way back from Keaton Beach we decided to try the Nowhere Grille. These are always a bit risky for me because of my shellfish allergy, but this place was great! The server helped me navigate the menu and kept the cook informed about my issue. The blackened fish poboy with their roumalade sauce had just enough kick to it for me. My husband had shrimp with the spicy roumalade and sweet potato fries. Yes, I was jealous of the shrimp. He said they were cooked just right and paired well with the brown ale from Appalachia Brewery. Very laid back with outdoor seating. So glad we found this local spot!

Second time we visited today , on our way back home, and I just had to write this… people you just gotta stop here even if it’s a bit off the highway . Food is just awesome . Everyone working there is friendly n eager to make us comfy. If I lived nearby I would visit almost everyday but just gotta make do with eating there whenever we pass by. Sorry I have no pictures. Just started digging in as soon as the food came out

This place is so laid back and comfy that you could become a permanent beach bum here! They have daily specials, and tonight I had the fish (flounder) dinner grilled. It was SOOO good! The slaw and okra I had was also tasty, but the fresh fish was the star of the show.

4 of us popped in for a meal out from Cedar Island. It is a ways out from everything and lives up to its namesake. My wife had the fish po’ boy and i ordered the grouper, blackened. As many places in the area, i was charged a 10% premium for blackened (as opposed to fried). 4 corona’s were $19. We tried both the fried onion rings and the fried pickle chips — the latter recommended by blogs we read about the place. The batter seemed just a flour and tasted only of the oil it was fried in and was so prominent, the batter overtook the flavor of both the pickles and onions. Service was also to the very slow side. To be fair though, the off menu Ahi tuna was excellent. All and all, it was ok. Way too expensive for something that really did not stand out in my mind. Regards.

Was a little shocked we were there around 5:30, asked for two tables to accommodate 12 people. Were asked if we had reservations??? This is out door restaurant a casual restaurant. The waitress said she needed to get the manager??? He came and said we should call for a reservation that they had several reservations and than said there was a automatic 20 percentage gratuity! I started to ask do you want our business or not???? There wasn’t but eight other people there! We were their two hrs. NO other reservations came! Rude!

Phenomenal, fun place to stop in for lunch, dinner or to hang out bar side. We enjoyed a beautiful brisket lunch. Perfect smoke flavor and tenderness on the brisket.
