1st time here today and I was impress. We arrived around 530pm so no wait times. We ordered the F1 which was amazing. The broth was very delicious, and although it said spicy. It was not. We also ordered the F2 non spicy and some dumplings on the side. The prices were good. Can’t wait to comeback!!!!

Northern Cafe, located across from PCC on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena, has recently opened its doors to diners. The interior is nice and welcoming. The menu is smaller than the restaurants in SGV, but offers a delicious variety of dishes.

We’ve ordered takeout from here with good experiences all around. Our food arrives flavorful, fresh and piping hot. It seems like eating out is getting more and more expensive, so I’m glad to have a solid standby for when we just don’t want to cook but also don’t want to waste our money!

Food was delicious, except all the hot pots are spicy and you can’t adjust the spicy level, which was disappointing since my kid loves hot pot. Dumplings and pan cakes were good, the cucumber appetizer was very refreshing.

Two stars for the taste. Not to sound cliche but I’m not sure if my race frequents the place but I walked in and felt the uneasiness. The greet was dry and seemed as if I was out of place for entering. I ordered online so that the food could be ready for my lunch break and was so excited because I pass this place all the time and been wanting to try because dumplings are a fav. First, I walked in and greeted the lady before she could greet me. Explained that I ordered online and if I could use the restroom during my wait. She kind of fanned like “go” in the direction of the restroom. Second, I’m standing in front of the fridge where the drinks are waiting for my order and she comes and reaches around me no “excuse me” or anything. I then apologize for being in her way, she says nothing. now my order is ready and I ask for a spoon (for my rice). She says “I put chop sticks, you want a spoon too?” It just wasn’t a great first time for me. Unfortunately I won’t give another chance to find out a second time. Honestly if I wouldn’t have ordered online I would have asked for a refund. Food was good though.
