North Village Smokehouse is a Texas pit-style BBQ bar & restaurant. Our BBQ is dry rubbed prime meat cooked with indirect heat for 10 to 12 hours in our 9ft smokers burning 100% local oak. We are not cutting any corners here, this is real Texas BBQ and our final product speaks for itself!
Our in house dinning area has 9 booths and 3 communal tables that can accommodate larger parties. The bar seats 15 and serves classic cocktails, craft beer, and wine. In the warmer months enjoy our covered 50 seat patio, right next to the smokehouse, with a drink and plate of BBQ…Come & Get It!

Okay wow. We were just passing through trying to check out the area and saw this place, it was closed but we saw the outside patio and the smoke rising and checked it out on our way back home. The inside seemed a bit stale and family oriented so my wife and I sat outside to a much cheerier setting and more people our age 30s. The food was undefeated.

Great food and service! Hard to find good BBQ in New England, and these guys hit it. The pulled pork and chicken thighs were both excellent, and the sides great too. They gracefully handled a crowd of about 25 folks, with lots of outdoor seating. They are short-staffed (isn’t everyone these days?) so service was a little slow, but they were apologetic and did their best.

Outstanding visit this past weekend. I’ve been probably 8-10 times and am working my way through the menu, trying something different each time. I’ve had the brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends, and ribs. All outstanding. Collards are amazing, so is the coleslaw. Service is always fast and professional.

Really cool authentic nostalgic decor. Very good draft list. Nice outdoor seating. Smoked turkey was perfect, moist and delicious. Sauces and pickles were really good. Mac and cheese and collards on point. Pulled pork was overall good flavor and tenderness but a couple of pieces were a little rough around the edges. Best barbecue in central mass I’ve had, and well worth a drive from boston because their bbq scene isn’t worth a damn.

This place is not pretty on the outside but has absolutely fantastic food and a very accommodating staff and owner. I am usually disappointed with what passes as service in most places these days. My compliments to the put master!!! This person is worth a million dollars!!! You have to try the ribs!!! These are the best ribs I have ever had!! EVER!!! No sauce required!! That’s when you know they’re done right!! I can’t remember our waitress’ name, but she’s the blonde that only works on Saturdays. She is too funny and made the best recommendation of the greens!! Again, the best ever!! Great times, great food, and great service!!
