We began our meal with the delectable brussel sprouts and hush puppies, both of which delighted our taste buds. Our party decided to try the pork chop, crab cakes, and mixed grill consisting of filet, tuna steak, and shrimp. The pork chop and crab cakes stood out as excellent choices, bursting with delightful flavors. While the mixed grill was satisfactory, the filet stole the show, while the tuna steak and shrimp fell into the realm of below average. For dessert, we indulged in the luscious pudding and delightful key lime pie, which left us thoroughly satisfied. Overall, our experience was enjoyable, although considering the price point, we expected a higher level of excellence.

Let me start out, I’m not a sea food guy, so I get to share the chicken sandwich experience. We had party of 5. Be warned, the wait is outside, and you can’t check in until everyone is there. 7 tables, and a bar. Every seat was taken. We ordered firecracker oysters (sorry missed the picture), 3 chef’s specials, Shrimp and grits, and lastly the messy chicken sandwich. Chef special was shrimp and scallop pasta. The bowl looked bottomless. Huge shrimp and scallops with out that fishy taste. The grits also had good size shrimp and cooked perfectly. My chicken sandwich, was very messy. The bun only covered a quarter of the chicken. Nice and tender with a good sauce. The menu prices look high, but it’s worth it.

Everything was amazing! In a town where most food is subpar, it was great to have a quality meal. I highly recommend the mixed grille. It was well worth the wait. Once seated the food and drinks came out quickly.

I had the fillet med rare. Came with mashed potatoes and snow pees. Everything was perfect. Got the bread basket, which is baked fresh and served warm. My wife got the lobster tail and it was cooked perfectly, which isn’t as easy as one would think. We are New Englander and know a good Maine lobster. These guys nailed it. Couldn’t have asked for better service!

Very very small crowded space. The website is a tad misleading, as it seems super fine dining (although it does not say that), but it feels like a seafood bar/pub when you come in. Food was on point! Great food! But a tad expensive. The staff were nice but seemed so rushed.

We sat at the end of the bar and had two bartenders waiting on us. One was very friendly, one was all business. Service was fast and the food was pretty good. Gnocchi was doughy, scallops were fantastic. Shrimp and grits were delicious, but would have been better if shrimp tails were removed. Sausage and shrimp soup needed salt, but had nice heat. Great beer on tap! Overall, a good experience!

This place was so well-run compared to other places we tried this week (sigh, Roadside Bar in Duck). Just lovely lovely service, from the host stand through the whole meal. Recommend getting in short line for 4:30 opening if you have small kids. You’ll be seated and eating by 5:30. The high points for us were fish special, spinach salad, and fried seafood combo. $10 popcorn shrimp and fries on kids menu was as good as a kids menu item can get! Again, great service throughout the whole meal really made it worth it, even though it’s kind of pricey. Would go back for sure.

This was the highlight of our trip. Took some advice for the locals and got there right as it opened, since it is such a small restaurant, but once we ate here nothing else compared. I ordered the salmon, which was tangy and sweet, perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the crab cakes, which were literally just lumps of crab fried, no filler whatsoever. The sides change daily but everything is fresh and amazing. The kids meals were huge for the price. The lemon drop martinis pushed this restaurant into the top 5 restaurants in the entire town of Corolla. Will definitely be back, next time we are in Corolla.

Out of Towner’s, we were looking for something a little more upscale to go on a date night. The host was friendly, waited about 10 min. To sit down whiche as great.
