We were really hungry and needed to eat before diamond hunting. Started looking on Google for places on the way and came upon Norman’s. It’s located at a truck stop and looked like the locals frequent. Our server was super, answered all my questions, and made sure mayo didn’t get anywhere near the hubs 44 Burger. I got the country fried steak sandwich and holy moly…. it was huge and delicious… lots of mayo for me. The Cajun fries were crispy and seasoned well. I really wanted cake with peanut butter icing but had no room. Inside is your normal open dining seating. Every day, you can get 1 meat and 3 sides for $11.99. You can’t beat that price. Good experience, and I would go again.

“Hey there everyone! I just wanted to share my experience of eating at this restaurant today – it was amazing! The establishment was impeccably clean, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the steak was cooked to perfection. Can’t say it was the best I ever had, but definitely passed as average. Just thought I’d share my experience with you all

Incredibly clean! Looks recently remodeled. Parking lot is gravel. Few dips but not crazy terrible. The waitress never smiled but the food was worth it. Except I was missing my cabbage. But I never complain. Perhaps I get to try the cabbage on my next visit. I’ll definitely give this place another visit. Places like these are rare!

I decided to stop and have some lunch at a diner next to a truck stop yesterday. How bad could it be? Every other place next to a truck stop has had really good food. I ordered the liver and onions with a side salad. I should have asked if it was beef liver because what I got was chicken liver. Let’s start with the salad it came in a tiny wooden bowl that was cracked from the edge to the bottom of the bowl. It was topped with shards of hard grated cheese strings the lettuce was at least not wilted and was fresh. Moving to the livers, they were burnt, hard and nasty I could only eat a few of the dozen or so livers. There were small hard as a rock pieces mixed in with the hard burnt livers. The onions, there were four or five thin rings of onions. They were equally burnt and hard. The mashed potatoes tasted off I think it was the brown packaged gravy that must have been days old, I couldn’t eat them either. I can only say this was one of the worst meals I have ever had. The waitress was nice but never came to my table after she dropped of the meal. I told her that the livers were crunchy and burnt, her reply was “Oh, I will tell the cook” and took my money.

Best food for a hungry truck driver. Every day, a dinner special under $12.00. You will not go away hungry. Lots of big rig parking

I had chicken fried steak and it was the best I have ever had and it’s one of my favorite breakfasts. The biscuits were soft and delicious. The sweet tea was perfect. We will be back.

Had a club sandwich. They used a solid piece of ham that was spam like. The same with the turkey, processed slab of cheap turkey meat. Probably the worst club sandwich I’ve ever had. I think it was around $15.00 with fries. Guess I’m just used to slices of lunch meat that’s fresh on my club sandwich. The sever brought us our food and never came back to the table again. Waited for drink refills for over 10min but she never came back. Probably not her fault since she was the only one working the whole dining room with over 10 customers. We just asked for drinks to go when we went up to pay for the food at the register. Also, there is a sign stating you only get one refills on drinks. If you get 2 refills they will charge you for another drink so don’t be thirsty. Atmosphere is super chill. Mostly truckers stopping in. We were passing through in the semi and stayed at the hotel across the parking lot which was sub par. Will probably just skip this exit next time and go down to Hope or Texarkana.

Fantastic place to stop and eat. You do get what you pay for. Menu is very friendly priced. Portions are good. Food is average at best. But I have also never had anything on their menu that I would not order again.

On Wednesday may 3rd , 2023 I order a cheeseburger and tots, and fish & shrimp dinner. Didn’t get not tots or fries. Fish wasn’t even cooked still swimming. The cheeseburger had stuff on the cheese like it been dropped on floor. Omg. Never going back. And order 2 eggs and hash browns. $12.00. Really wow. To much. Then got back to motel across street. Had diarrhea. 8 times. Stomach for up. Paid $40.00 for all that wasn’t even fitting to eat. Gave me dirreha fast.. never recommend people to eat there. WOW.
