From traditional Banh Mi to a California (bacon & avocado!), this great little shop on Telegraph is full of delicious food, great people watching, and friendly staff. Today I tried the Vietnamese coffee and noticed the subtext on the menu, “Sweet and strong, just like the Vietnamese lady who brews it!” <3

I ordered a grilled pork sandwich. It was fine. The vegetables were a little too sweet for me and I wish there had been more meat on the sandwich. I know to order double meat if i order again.

I absolutely love this place. The sandwiches are hefty and always leave me full. They have a variety of different sandwiches and the owners are very kind. They always greet me and you can tell they take so much pride in their business. Check them out and get a tasty sandwich. You can’t go wrong.

Compared to many other Banh mi places I’ve been to the taste is really just ok. Plus the portion is kinda small

No thank you or anything, unfriendly demeanors especially coming from the owners who runs the shop. Banh mi is average and not worth a return visit.

Nom Nom is the best value option for food on Southside. The Bahn Mi’s are priced so affordably, are always so fresh, and make a phenomenal lunch. They have fantastic vegetarian and vegan options too!

I cannot recommend this little gem of a sandwich shop highly enough! This is the real deal! I love that they have a vegan option! the sandwiches are huge, with fresh, beautiful fillings artfully arranged and piled high! The Vietnamese coffee is strong and delicious! And the basil seed water. ..wow! I’d never even heard of it, but I’d go back for that alone!

In brief, Nom Nom makes a thoroughly average banh mi. Though the bread is nicely fresh, the veggies are too sour and do not speak to the naturally fresh flavor found in cheaper Vietnamese sandwich shops throughout the Bay Area. I was initially excited by the copies of Nom Nom’s history and mission statement spread throughout the restaurant, but found the food did not match these lofty goals.
