Food is fantastic! We didn’t know the place had a Bulgarian bent and wow! So good. And, I left my license there by mistake and they were so nice to keep it safe! Great food and nice people. Highly recommend.

Long wait at another place, decided to walk a block away to this spot. Super glad we did. The food was delicious, coffee was great, the atmosphere was perfect and there wasn’t a wait! Highly recommend 10/10. Try the shashuka, be a little adventurous if this kind of food isn’t on your typical radar.

I was so excited to go to this place! I had it bookmarked ahead of our trip. The mimosa flights are what caught my eye and they did NOT disappoint. So cute and colorful! And my breakfast sammie was so delicious. The kyufte took it to another level. The staff was very friendly and talkative which we liked. Can’t wait to come back again!

We came here on a whim because I didn’t recognize the name and thought it might be new. It was SO amazing that we literally came back with more people the next day for brunch. We tried multiple dishes and shared them, and there wasn’t a bad bite. We don’t eat meat, and there were tons of options that worked with our diet. The presentation was just as good as the flavors, textures, and ingredient quality.

Stopped here for Sunday brunch and everything we had was absolutely delicious! Our favorites were the Mekitsi and Eggs Panagurska. Being originally from Bulgaria, these dishes tasted like they came straight out of my grandma’s kitchen. All of the flavors were authentic. Will definitely be returning soon!

This place is deliciousness. The second time we ate here I got the granola boat and a side of eggs with an iced mocha. My friend got the Thai tea and said it was amazing. The staff couldn’t be any more friendly. A sunny and airy atmosphere. Truly a flight of fantasy, I would highly recommend eating here

My husband and I love trying new things. And boy does that bring some of the best experiences we have. Not only was the staff amazing, but the food definitely gets a homemade stamp of approval. If you have been crazing some authentic Bulgarian food, well here it is. It was light, yet fulfilling. We also had the joy of meeting the owners and hearing their story of how this lovely cafe came to be. We will absolutely be back and if you haven’t gone, then you are missing out. (This photo doesn’t do any justice to how great it tasted)

SO delicious! This is a new favorite for me. The Bulgarian-influenced food is so flavorful and I was pleasantly surprised at how light and refreshing everything was. The mekitsi (crumpets with cheese and honey) and parzhen (eggplant fritters) were my personal favorites, but I’d recommend anything with the Bulgarian cheese or Lutenitza spread – a savory, roasted red pepper dip that’s not to be missed! The butterfly tea was a fun cherry on top of an excellent meal.

Portland was in dire need of more brunch spots and Nom really delivered. The space is cute, modern and clean with lots of light with a few sweet decor nods to its Bulgarian roots and a beautiful mural done by a local artist. Staff is friendly and attentive and even the owners are always around checking in on how people are enjoying their time and their food. The worst thing about the menu is that it’s so hard to choose. My personal favorite meal there (after trying ~*almost*~ everything) is the eggs panagura and the mekitsi. The panagura is herby and flavorful with perfectly cooked eggs. Eating the whole plate is just enough food to make you feel full but not sick like I do at other brunch places- No one wants leftover eggs! The mekitsi is like breakfast dessert. Sweet crumpets with fresh fruit, honey and cheese that I’ve never had before and I haven’t stopped thinking about since. Did I mention the cocktails? Yes, there’s a mimosa flight but the Tinkerbell cocktail is where it’s at. All this to say, RUN, don’t walk, to Nom. You’re welcome!

We had originally planned to eat at the Miss Portland Diner, but after seeing how full the parking lot was we decided to find something else. We were delighted to find Nom Cafe. We walked into the restaurant and were seated immediately. The inside of the restaurant was so cozy and welcoming! The staff were attentive, helpful, and very kind. The menu had plenty of options and I especially loved the uniqueness of each item. My husband ordered the waffles and I had the shakshuka, and both of us really enjoyed our meals. Everything was really high quality. I would love to go back again and try more of the menu because it all seemed so delicious.
