Wow! My first po boy had me feeling like a rich man! Nola Roux offers great spice and delicious New Orleans flavor in Saint Joseph, MI. I’m allergic to shellfish, but there are great alternatives to choose from when eating at Nola Roux!

Shrimp po’ boy had great remoulade and was the perfect bite. I think the sides could’ve been warmer when served to us. The jambalaya was excellent in flavor, and the Mac ‘n cheese was more on the basic side. Overall, would go back, the decor was solid. The atmosphere from the outside is very unassuming which I like.

Good suggestions from the guy at the counter made for an enjoyable lunch. The sampler platter was quite good. If I lived closer, I would love to go back and try some of their other offerings.

Went here for lunch, the person at counter said absolutely nothing, no hello or how can I help you. I ordered kicking chicken sandwich. Waited approximately 5min, sandwich was OK size for the price, very little chicken, way to much sauce served on a hard Baggett roll. My first bite because of hard roll and to much sauce almost all of the inside came out onto the table . The chicken tasted very good wish there was more, sauce overwhelming way to much! cost almost 14.00 dollars !!

Gem of St Joe!! Tried their Sampler which had Jambalaya, Red Beans and Royal Gumbo. This should be plenty of food for one person. Also tried their Seafood Etouffee. Everything was absolutely delicious. Would go here again and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort southern cuisine.

The jerk chicken is good but that’s where it stops for me. The jambalaya and gumbo is not that good to me and the okra was tough. The tall guy with dark hair took my order but he could definitely use some customer service training. If I return it’ll be for something else.

I was really glad to find such a good Cajun restaurant in a small town. Both the gumbo and andouille sausage I had tasted authentic and comforting.

The food at this place was absolutely amazing! I got the seafood Monica and I could not be more impressed with it! I also got a burbon beef poboy and the meat was really jucy and flavorful! The bread they use was also very high quality and really added to both the sandwich and the seafood Monica! Would highly recommend this place!

Excellent cajun food! Their po boy doesn’t skimp on the meat and fillings while served on delicious bread. The seafood etoufee has just the right balance of spices and it is really filling. I was just passing through the area and decided to stop by. Every dish I tried here blew me away. If I ever find myself in Benton Harbor ever again, this is a must stop!
