Came here during super bowl weekend. First i want to say the man & woman working were very nice. There were about 15-20 ppl in the bar that evening but they were having a bit of trouble keeping up. When i arrived ; I noticed there were a lot of fruit flies flying around so much so that I was uncomfortable. I ordered two hurricanes that were decent then Against my better judgment after being there for quite some time I ordered wings and hush puppies. The hush puppies weren’t the best I’ve had. My wing seemingly tasted alright until i noticed how pink it was, then I lost my appetite. They have alot of options on the menu that look tasty but honestly I was iffy about ordering because of the large number of flies swarming the bar so I keep it simple and was still disappointed. Also they have several tvs around the bar if you would just like to order a drink and watch a game.

I been here a few times and my favorite is the fried Shrimp, I also tried the etouffee, but didn’t like it, it had a plastic kinda flavor, to be be a NOLA flavor it NEEDS to be good, fresh, super flavorful. So I will keep trying new dishes and update any new info. For now the only one I like was the delicious fried shrimp. This dish is really flavor with a little kick of spice so yummy.

Absolutely loved it! We had such a great experience. Our server was absolutely amazing. She was so sweet and attentive and gave great service. We ordered the gumbo, the jambalaya, and the pasta Orleans. Everything had a nice spice to it.

Myself and the two others I went to eat with are from Louisiana, born and raised. And we’ve searched and searched for some good authentic Cajun/Creole Louisiana food. And let me tell you, we sure enough found it here!!!! I ordered a pound of the boiled shrimp, medium spicy with the garlic butter sauce. Wow!! Not overboiled (unfortunately many seafood places cook too long but this place does not! They were just right, not rubbery and peeled easily!) The garlic butter sauce had a great flavor and the shrimp had a nice spicy profile without overwhelming the more subtle flavors. The corn and potatoes I ordered as sides were just right too. My boyfriend had the shrimp etouffee and it tasted like home. Very authentic and legit. My mom ordered the fried shrimp, which were a nice size with a good seasoning to the batter, and the cocktail sauce was something else! We even enjoyed the fries, although neither of us are big on fries. We also had Bloody Marys which were very authentic and delicious with a bit of a kick, clearly they know what they’re doing with their Bloody Mary game. The greens were delicious soul food with a hint of spice. We gobbled down the food so fast we forgot to take pictures! It was all like you’d get back home, and the owner and bartender were super friendly and made us feel so welcome. The owner and his family are from down south so upon learning that I wasn’t surprised to find it authentic. Also the place is really cute and has a nice ambiance. Definitely will be returning soon despite that I don’t live super close to the area. Our whole party rates it 5 stars.

Glad we found it online, because walking by you’d never guess the high quality food that comes out of this kitchen.

I expected a little bit more from the appetizer we had ordered which was their fried okra. I expected it to be freshly made but it was breaded frozen okra deep fried. My shrimp and grits were good, my friend had the jambalaya and I have never seen jambalaya made this way where you actually get the leg and thigh all in one piece sitting on top of the rice. The sausage used was so spicy it was hard to tell what the rest of the dish tasted like because the heat was oretty intense. Maybe there are people out there that like it that way but for me personally that would not be a dish that I would choose because of how spicy the sausage was. The atmosphere was just Bland. Kind of dark inside could have used a little bit more lighting and updating as far as decor. It would not be a place that I would consider going back to again.

They did it again!! The food was phenomenal as always, Nola never disapoints! Every time I’ve ordered my fiance and I have been more than satisfied, even the kids, who are extremely picky eaters. And they deliver! You can’t beat that, especially nowadays. Can’t wait to see what’s coming next, I know we’ll be having some. Support local!!!

We met some friends there for lunch. The appetizers were great fried okra and barbecue shrimp. Service was good. Which is why I gave them one star. However, the food we had was horrible. It was very very salty. It appeared intentional. Three different dishes for the meal rice and beans, Cobb salad and chicken dish. Each dish had so much salt. I could not eat it. Horiible. I guess if they didn’t want us there. We got the message. We will not return there. Could it be discrimination? Maybe, not sure. But one thing is for sure. I will never return there and neither will our friends.
