This is the 2nd time I’ve gone here in years and will never go back,we ordered sweet &sour Chicken and it had either been microwaved or recooked a few times, it was so tough that all 3 of us couldn’t even eat it. sesame beef was horrible, the rice was the only good thing on that meal. Shrimp lobster sauce was so so. We always go to chin a kitchen but they were closed tonight . I should take this chic back down to them tomorrow and ask them if they would eat it.

Overall, it will get the job done, but their food is not really anything to write home about. Some items are standard fare, but others are definitely below par. Their Egg-Foo-Yung didn’t really sit well in the stomach, and the chicken was fairly questionable in the sense that it didn’t have the texture of chicken that I have ever tasted. Their fried rice was flavorless. Their General Tso’s chicken was fairly standard. I would reccomend another place over here at this time.

Pupu platter for two was hardly a serving for one doesn’t seem they have cleaned the place since it was built there ashes in the restroom where someone was smoking in the sink I don’t know how anyone could stomach eating there after seeing all of that but if they were still hungry they would be satisfied with the crumbs wedged in the dining table

I lived in Rutland for 3 years, during the pandemic, and had the opportunity to visit nearly every Chinese restaurant in town. No. 1 was my go to above all the rest. It helped that I was able to order online using the Beyond Menu app, but the quality of the food is exactly what you’d both want and expect for an American Chinese restaurant. I particularly like the beef lo mein and the general tso’s chicken.

Honestly I’ve been going here for 20 years for Chinese food. Slowly I’ve seen the food quality and order completion slip. After the pandemic the place bottomed out and the food is just disgusting. They buy a lot of pre made and frozen food now and the taste is poor. The portions are smaller while the price is higher. I don’t mind spending more for quality food, but this establishment is just not worth it anymore. They do forget or mess up orders too more frequently now than before. I’m not sure if they sold or just not managed correctly, but I’d pass on this place and try somewhere different. I wish them luck on building this place back to what is once was.

So, I ordered the C18 which is Sweet n Sour chicken. Got home, and there was no sauce, or an egg roll. How do you call this a combination dinner and forget the MAIN part of the meal. Super disappointed and will never go back!

I used to love this place. Just went to order today, and they have built a wall/divider up by the front door, because of covid. When I was about to enter there was a gentleman at the window of the divider, waiting to order, or waiting for food. There was a child on the other side of the window, that was hitting the glass window, and yelling in the microphone hello! Hello! Repeatedly, without a mask. I turned around and left. Totally turned me off this place. A lot has changed and this place has gotten waayyyy better since my last review.

We order a $40, got home and noticed we were charge only $31. Oh that is because they included less then half of our order. Not a huge deal, but the last thing I want to do is cook when I think I have dinner covered. Check your orders, I would say we got two apps worth of food for $30. And not what we ordered.

Don’t go to this Chinese restaurant. Go to China Kitchen, Ginger China or Kong Chow Fusion. Our last and final visit the food was horrible and we couldn’t eat it. The sweet and sour chicken was over cooked and soggy. They didn’t securely put the kids on the sweet and sour sauce which got all over everything. The rice was flavorless and the egg rolls weren’t cook enough. We asked for separate containers for one meal and they were too lazy to acomodate that request. To top it off it was the owners who should be taking pride in what they serve cooking. It’s also not worth the nightmare of pulling in and out of the location. We’ll be taking our business else where.
