I was skeptical about visiting because of so many bad reviews it reviews. I’m glad I checked it out anyway. The food and the price were decent. I ordered a variety of dishes: egg foo young with white rice, won ton soup, and steamed dumplings. I received a free egg roll due to my total being over $20. The egg foo young was a little greasy and lacked flavor despite being filled with shrimp, peas and onions. The gravy was the only thing that saved this dish. The won ton soup was good. The steamed dumplings had a different filling than I’m accustomed to. I didn’t care for it. The ginger-soy dumpling sauce was spicy and good, which made the dumplings edible. The egg roll had very little filling but it was good. The establishment itself was small but clean. It’s to-go or take-out only. I’m willing to visit again in hopes of finding dishes I like better. We had General Tso’s combo and Sesame Chicken combo with egg rolls. The service was great and food was ready on time. This was the best Chinese food we have found since moving to the CSRA area 2 years ago. Will definitely make the trip back to Edgefield again!!

Not sure what happened to this place but seems like they’re taking advantage of no restaurants being nearby so there is no competitiveness & seems like they cutting costs and lacking fresh 2 orderness Example I ordered chicken wings and fries AS SOON as they opened up & when I got my food the chicken wings didn’t look like they were just freshly fried and fresh out the grease the fries some of them was dark and really hard didn’t have a big crunch but kinda mushy . & From being a cook myself you could tell that more than likely they just refried the food ( chicken ) that they didn’t use from the night before . Chicken skin was hard and had that refried taste and feel fries here mushy and hard different sizes and colors . Use to be a great lil place as of lately just doesn’t seem like much care is being put into their product I was highly disappointed to order food as soon as they opened expected immediate freshness only to get product which seem to have been reused from the night before . Buisness there could be booming but only them are to blame for lack of great local town support . Do Better ” Number 1 China “

We have been in Aiken since Sept 2019 and tonight was our first time to get take out at No. 1 China. This was the best Chinese we have had down here. Garlic Wings and the house fried rice were Excellent. My wife had the S&S chicken and said it was very good. Good food and good price.

(updated review 2/28/2022) Decor leaves a lot to be desired! It’s a pretty dirty restaurant in the front with old soy sauce bottles on the tables. That said the food is passable.

Wings are good and tea is very good but the owners/managers are very rude. So my husband and our friends don’t go there. They put your number on a board to see when you call and other ppl can also see these ph numbers. If your order is similar to some one else that didn’t come or called in. They tell you. You can’t order food cause you no come you go somewhere else and hang up on you. And we were regulars. I even call from my mom ph and she doesn’t eat there at all. They still said you no come get your order last time so you not eat here no more.
