The staff was phenomenal and very welcoming. They allowed us to wait inside for our Airbnb check-in. The food, however, was not the best. My mother had me spoiled because she makes some of the best Nigerian food, so my expectations are very high.

Great food in family oriented environment.

Worst experience. I honestly respect the hussle, but for your customer to feel cheated is definitely a no no. I took my son to try something amazing from culture, but ended up in disappointment. The place was definitely a hole on the wall for a restaurant. Straight up dirty. I ordered egusi, pounded yams and Jollof for a total cost of $62. It was the worst egusi ever. It looked like a baby’s bowel. The palm oil coated the walls of my mouth. The rice on the other hand was manageable. I can cook better than this guy honestly.

Best African Cafe in Los Angeles. I love this place, their food is tasty and a very good portion.

The Beef is old or not real horrible. Too much palm oil in egusi.

The customer service was amazing. She answered all my questions. The food was fresh and delicious. My kids who are picky eaters and have never eaten Nigerian food, ate it with no complaint!

I hate to say it, but this one star is me being generous. As a fellow Nigerian, I was excited to try this place, but that excitement quickly turned into disappointment. I spent $50 for two plates of jollof rice with plantain and chicken, and while the portions were great, the food was not. There was absolutely no flavor in the rice; it tasted as if it was just white rice drowned in tomato sauce, and it was mushy. To top it all off, the chicken was dry and the plantain was saturated in oil. I will not be returning to this restaurant; I’m better off cooking my own food.

My remarks are genuine and from my observations. The restaurant is very clean, seating is adequate, their intent to take your order resonates right when you’re seated. I love the fact that health conscious habits remains the #1 moto @ this restaurant. I rate 6 stars.

They ran out of the dish that we specifically came in for. Appears to be a family run restaurant which is great because they get to train their kids and all…but that compromises the quality of service when the servers aren’t well trained. Food was just okay. We ordered a variety of dishes and there was no fan favorite.
