Nikko Garden will treat you like family, and the sushi is as good as I’ve had anywhere in the U.S. Do NOT pass up ordering the Nikko Roll. It’s a one-of-a-kind and delicious after dipping it in a little soy sauce. If you like spicy tuna, the Soldotna Roll is your best bet!

Don’t order the $20 appetizer plate unless you want a plate of soggy cold deep fried tempura stuff like cheap shrimp, carrots, and mushrooms. I think the fried rice was right off the buffet. The sushi roll was good but not what I expected, didn’t come with wasabi or ginger and was filled with iceberg lettuce instead of rice. Cheap ingredients for expensive menu. Service was okay but not great, there was only three tables. Won’t be going back.

For sushi in Alaska, it was good. As a Californian, it was sub par and over priced. The other reviews that complain about the service are on par. It took about an hour for them to bring all of of sushi out from the time we ordered. I will say they are nice enough, but a smile only goes so far when you’re waiting for your sushi and most of your group has already finished eating.

Would never return to this restaurant. Salad bar lettuce was browning. Limited offerings. Most hot food was room temperature at best. When we mentioned the food being cold, all they did was stir the dishes. And all this for $14.99/person!

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST Chinese food/buffet I’ve ever experienced! Poor quality, poor variety, poor freshness. I’m no stickler for authenticity but they served SPAGHETTI NOODLES as LO MEIN! Food was barely warmer than room temperature. The selections with sauce had set long enough that they had developed a jelly like film over them and beneath this layer of jelly the sauces were both watery and clumpy. To add insult to injury, for me (not even a full plate and two glasses of root beer) and my 3 year old son (half a plate of spaghetti and a glass of water) I was charged $26.70! If you are visiting the Kenai/Soldotna area from out of town, AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS HORRIBLE RESTAURANT! Wait till you get home to get your Chinese fix. You’ll be glad you did. If you’re a local and this is one of your only miserable choices you have my deepest sympathy. As someone who loves Chinese food of all types I believe that I would give up on it completely rather than settle for the complete garbage they’re peddling at Nikko Garden!

This place is the bomb. Reminds me of my favorite chinese restaurant in NYC. I go fishing every summer and we eat here almost every night. The sushi is the freshest on the peninsula.. They do it right! You bet you ass we will be back!

Went in there right at dinner time and had the Buffet. Food was cold, and stale! You could tell it has been out all day. They charge 17.95 a person and it wasn’t worth 5 bucks. I will never eat there again! They don’t even deserve 1 star. I want my money back!!!!
