My husband and I were recommended Nigel’s as a good place to get some comfort food, by a local friend that has relocated to the Upstate. We normally visit 3760 Ashley Phosphate Rd, when we are in town for MUSC visits. However, they don’t serve the “Salmon and Grits” dish my husband LOVES. Therefore, we decided to try out 7000 Bowen Pier Dr. Unit 2, where it’s on the menu.

My son lives in the housing development Nigel’s is in, and we came to town to celebrate his birthday in a simple way (he has long days with his work). So, we stayed close for dinner. All 5 of us enjoyed our meals. I really enjoyed the black-eyed peas…perfect side for my dish. My mother-in-law enjoyed the fried chicken. All tasty! The staff was very nice and prompt.

Came here to eat while on vacation and everything we ordered was awesome so we came back a second time before we left in order ordered the same meal and tasted the same as it did the first time The wait staff was outstanding

I remember going to the original Nigel’s when I was younger & even then I was impressed by their food. This experience was no different. Tonight my boyfriend & I decided to go here for dinner as it’s close to home and we wanted good, comfort food. We started with fried green tomatoes and went with the Hamburger Steak & Lowcountry Ravioli as our entrees. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I have no complaints besides the fact that I couldn’t eat it all and had to get a to-go box! Will definitely be returning! Friendly, attentive staff that help each other out. Adorable interior and location. Can’t wait to go back!

Went tonight with a party of 6 adults and 3 children… our service was friendly and quick. Food as always was absolutely delicious. To start we ordered the wings and she crab soup. For dinner, I ordered the country fried steak with collards, mac n cheese, with rice & gravy. Husband ordered the porkchops (which came with 3 fried chops), collards, yams, and corn bread. Little man ordered fried shrimp and fries. Will definitely return! Great job Louise & Nigel on another phenomenal location and food!
