Food was honestly very delicious….but I think it’s overpriced. 10 dollars for a very basic salad and 26 dollars for tortellini but not fresh parmesan. I know, very picky….corking fee is 20 per bottle. They do have an excellent wine list, but man, the prices are crazy high.

In town visiting family, and they took us to Nicola’s. The atmosphere seemed pretty nice. It was dark and quiet in the restaurant, which I personally liked. I ordered the escargot for my appetizer, and it was very bland. There needed to be more cheese, salt, and just more flavors overall.

If you are looking for fine Italian dinning then Nicholas’s should be high on your list. It’s not cheap but the food is top notch. All the wait staff are top shelf people, bread is refilled, water glasses are topped off. Overall very good service. Good is well prepared and served quickly.

Took my wife out for a dinner date. I was willing to pay whatever for our date, but the food was overpriced for what we received. The salad was not worth 9 dollars…at most it was worth 5 dollars. Really didn’t make me want to brag about my dine in here which is what I look for in nice restaurants. We had a fantastic server and she knew what she was talking about. I don’t think I will return. I will say maybe try them out to see if I could be wrong about my experience.

I can not recommend Nicola’s enough! Our party of 12 dined at Nicola’s for my parents 50th wedding anniversary dinner after another restaurant (Avanzare) “didn’t have our reservation”. We called Nicola’s and they were able to accommodate us within minutes. The ambience was absolutely wonderful and the food was impeccable. The front of house was kind and immediately seated us in the beautiful, quiet dining room. Katie, our server, went above and beyond to make our experience outstanding. It was better than we could have imagined! Thank you for a wonderful night- we will definitely be back!

My favorite place for Italian in Springfield. My parents introduced me to it when I visited a couple years ago and we try to go every time I’m visiting them now.

food was fabulous, nice atmosphere. Too bad our waitress was too busy running her mouth with the next table and not her feet to do her job, otherwise this would be a 5 star review. Multiple times we were sitting and waiting when she only had 3 tables for things we should not have had to including getting water glasses filled when we first arrived and paying our check which we finally just paid at the bar after watching her yack and yack 2 tables away with a customer. She constantly was at their table and dragging out conversation about personal relationships and high school memories. Our first visit and we were very disappointed with the lack of service which our tip hopefully reflected. My boyfriend was far more generous than I would have opted to be. We will attempt 1 more future visit and hope to have a better server at that time.

Best italian in springfield. Reminds me of my great grandmothers cooking. Its authentic and the portions are huge. Our waiter was so good and attentive we left him a 100 dollar tip. The service this place had is what i want to see from every restaurant i go to. Had good atmosphere, friendly staff, and wonderful service. Thanks for making my wifes birthday memorable.

My husband and I recently moved to Springfield from NYC. We went to Nicola’s last night and I have to say that this is the best dining experience we have had since moving here. From the exceptional service to high quality food options, we were very impressed. We sat at a high top in the bar and the owner came out and had a long, fun conversation with us. We cannot wait to go back.
