Fantastic street Greek food. A little pricey but HUGE portions. We couldn’t eat it all. Good variety on the menu. All the food had excellent flavor. The staff were friendly and helpful! They brought the food to you. It was clean, colorful, and bright. Just lovely hangout kinda vibe. TVs to watch while you eat. Wall of alcohol to pick from should you want. The music was fire. We had a fantastic time eating and chatting. Great place! Highly recommended!

This local “FASTaurant” has great service. Sliced fresh off the vertical broiler the meat is perfectly seasoned and delicious ! I had the Gyro bowl with chicken. I added an order of pita. The bowl was full of fresh romaine lightly dressed with red wine vinaigrette, basmati rice, red onions, tomatoes topped with spiced yogurt and tzatziki. It was very good. The pita was grilled and not as soft and chewy as I had hoped. The Greek yogurt is outstanding. It comes with. Baklava sprinkled on top and a drizzle of honey. BEWARE. #allergygirl asked if the baklava had cinnamon, although I was assured it did not. It did! So I got a new one without the baklava ( no worries I’m fine. I could smell it and my companion could taste it). It was outstanding! Fresh and a bit tart. The honey on top was a perfect complement! Get it!!!

I was disappointed. They didn’t offer a souvlaki sandwich so I ordered the gyro with processed meat. I guess it was OK as gyro’s go, but it was overpriced and didn’t have enough tzatziki on it so I had to ask for extra. No attempt at authenticity was made; and they put french fries on my gyro.

Having been to Greece myself and thoroughly enjoyed Greek kebab street food, I couldn’t wait to try this new offering in downtown SLO. Other Mediterranean options in the county like Petra or Jaffa forgoe the modern twist of French fries in their wraps, a touch I sorely missed. Nick the Greek offers this cuisine, contained inside a very nice, modern interior that is very inviting. Service is quick, the atmosphere is rather great.

Employee’s lack of intelligence cost us $10. Asked if there was a way to get just the gyro with no fries. Explained this request every way I possibly could. He said no. Got two gyro plates for $16 each. After receiving a dish with triangular cuts of pita bread (which are useless when it comes to rolling the food in the pita) and choking down some dry gross fries, we saw an advertisement on the counter for just the pita with no fries, as requested. I asked what that was, he said just the pita. I asked the price, I believe it was $11 or $10. This is exactly what I requested and was told it didn’t exist. This was overall a negative and frustrating experience.

Don’t listen to the negative comments these “food critics” make, the food is affordable and delicious. They have a great beer selection that’s cheaper than the local bars downtown.

Just had lunch here during their soft launch. Liked the food a lot, portion size was good and prices fair. Definitely will be back

The beef & lamb Gyro was tender, not dry. My only complaint is keeping with a traditional Gyro; hence, no French fries. Traditional Gyros tend to have more red onions and tomatoes; my suggestion is to ask during the ordering process to customize your meal. A nice e treat is their frozen Greek yogurt with Baklava and honey added.
