We ordered lobster with house special sauce. $36/lb and their lobsters weighted minimum 4lbs. The sauce was not as good as in the past. Too sweet and less flavorful. We always ordered the lobster dish at this restaurant because we loved their sauce, but we were disappointed that this time it was not as good.

Haven’t been back probably 20 years and food quality has dropped off:

The vietnamese food here was pretty good. Tried a wide variety, but went with friends so I am not sure the names of all the dishes. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. The chicken and egg rolls were my favorite. The chicken skin was probably some of the best I have had in a long time.. Nothing I really disliked there. The pickled radishes are always a personal favorite of mine. The fish soup was good and came with quite a lot of fish. I liked that they served orange slices at the end of the meal, I wish more places did something like this, seems a good way to end a meal.

This place is one of the older traditional vietnamese restaurants in San Jose, and that’s saying a lot. It’s lasted a long time. It’s not fancy, but its food is authentic, and there is a variety. Try the one of their hot pots, particularly their hot and sour seafood hot pots ! I love them. Ask for extra noodles! It makes for a filling, supremely satisfying meal. I’m not am old fogie (yet), but I am a fan of this place, and I eat here regularly.

The food was ok. The servers had attitude and unfriendly. The cashier lady charged us the rice noodles per person when it supposed to come with the dishes we ordered without informing us. She also charged us the extra beers that we didn’t have. The receipt didn’t have any details on the items name. Always check your receipt guys. I wouldn’t come back. The quality is not there anymore

Ordered lobster noodle and I asked the waiter for a pair of glove. To my amazement his response was the restaurant doesn’t have any and he had to bring his own glove from the car….. all this was said while he had a pair on his hands. Seriously…what kind of service are you providing. I ended requesting from another waitress and she gave it to me.

So I heard about this restaurant before and luckily our tour stop here for dinner. We came around 7pm on Friday and it is crowded. there is a line outside waiting. We ordered Lobster and noodle, Chicken hot pot, Pineapple fried rice. Friendly staff and fast service. They have a pond with live lobster inside and they will show customers which one they will cook for you. Highly recommend this. Will come back.

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in San Jose. There are a variety of dishes and all are deliciously cooked and seasoned. I wanted to try the banh canh tom cua but it was unavailable. The wait staff is difficult to flag down, but is very friendly and sociable. My parents witnessed the restaurant owner screaming at her staff. I recommend getting the hot pot style soups if you’re eating with a large group so that you can get free broth refills.
