Kevin Nguyen is the founder of Nguyen’s Kitchen & Sushi Bar. He was born in Hue, Vietnam and his family escaped in 1984 by a handmade wooden boat to Thailand then to the Philippines and finally arrived in San Diego, California in 1987. Kevin’s family has reached the land of freedom. As a young boy he learned Vietnamese cooking from his mother and continued to be well-trained sushi chef. His talented cooking skills and creative mind combines Vietnamese, Japanese and American ingredients, making it one of the most unique combinations ever offered to the public. Kevin and his staff would like to thank you for being Nguyen’s patrons. We are always looking to improve and for our guests to have the best experience at Nguyen’s.

The best sushi place in Fort Myers so far. Has been passed this place couple times, I finally tried it out on the new year day of 2023. Its sushi is very tasty and the fried wonton is delicious. Patty is a very nice server and we like her. It would be our new favorite restaurant while in town.

Owner is amazing and will explain anything you ask about. Everything on the menu is amazing because they take time and effort with there recipes and sushi rolls. The owner is almost always the one making the sushi and is such a nice guy to talk to. I hope this place stays for ever some of the best sushi I’ve ever had!

I recently did a takeout order at this restaurant. I was kind of on the fence about it based on its location but I still wanted to give it a try. I am so glad I did! Even though it was a takeout order the staff was incredibly welcoming. The food, oh my goodness, it was incredible. The sushi! It was an absolute delight. The freshness of the fish was unrivaled and each roll was meticulously crafted to perfection. The pad thai was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. It had the perfect balance of flavors and the generous portion left us completely satisfied.

I wanted to like the food here. Everything tasted so sweet. The sushi was sweet, the fried rice was sweet and too wet, and the pad Thai just tastes like sugar with some cilantro on top. There were no other flavor elements and the food was really one dimensional. I won’t order again.
