Take out order of Southern Salad which was pretty good (except for the rotting lettuce included – see 3rd photo). I omitted croutons and would have liked the option to have either walnuts or pecans added. I did enjoy the chicken salad which is made with grapes. Service was good and with a smile. Restaurant looked clean and spacious if you were to eat in.

I ate an early snack/lunch at Newk’s, while waiting to be picked up after seeing U.S. Dermatology Associates. The pimento mac and cheese with bacon was outstanding! As always, I loved the red velvet cake. The large, well-lit parking lot has been swept but needs pressure washing. The restaurant is clean, as are the bathrooms. Service was fast and efficient.

So I have come here quite a few times now since moving here and I feel like every time I go it’s like something from my order is missing or lack of ingredients. I ordered the margarita pizza and it came with just cheese and tomatoes on top. Went inside to ask where the basil was and the person in the front proceeded to give me an attitude and grabbed me some basil. Didn’t even offer to just add the basil to the pizza or apologize. I ordered a margarita pizza which comes with tomatoes and Basil and I have no basil so that is the fault of the restaurant not me. I’ll continue to come because I do like the food but I think the kitchen should be making sure they are adding the ingredients that are supposed to be on the food and the front staff should not be giving an attitude when I was nothing but polite about it.

Newks has always been a favorite, but in the last year, the food has gone a bit down. The soups are all the same, (the loaded potato is consistently not very good anymore). The lettuce is always wilted and the changes in sandwiches is disappointing. Ingredients are missing according to the description on line…the bread is rock hard. We really hate to see this happen, as Newks was one of our favorite places to go for a tasty meal. Hope it will return to it’s glory days.

It was my first time eating here so I didn’t go in with any expectations, but it was surprisingly great, I got the italian sandwich and it was bomb. I went with family and despite everyone getting a different thing there were no complaints. Overall great place to eat.

Newk’s is located on North St. with more than necessary parking. Besides fresh, tasty, and favorable food the restaurant is very clean. The staff without exception is helpful and friendly. Social distancing is maintain in the seating. During this visit it was observed that the customers are wearing masks.
