One Hungry Possum
If you love salads the size of popcorn bowls, sandwiches, lil pizzas and pastas, you are in the right place. The place is bustling with customers of all ages and there’s some cozy booths around the back wall. You order at the counter, get a number and you place the number card on a place holder on the table and wait for your food to be brought to you. Meanwhile you get a large plastic seasonal Newks cup (yes it’s yours forever) that you self-serve your beverage in and also while you’re up you can grab some napkins and thin bags of pencil shaped breadsticks. I actually come here for the pizza- it’s thin and perfectly cooked with some awesome flavor combinations. I HIGHLY recommend the Newks Q- it has their name on it for a reason.

The day I went, their air conditioners were not working. They had portable units and fans that barely moved the air. They were miserable hot, especially in the kitchen, yet they were friendly and polite and we got our order more quickly than I expected considering the situation. The food was great! We also had a Newks Club, but it was so good it didn’t make it in the picture. I’ve been here a few times, and every time I’m surprised at how good it is. This is becoming my favorite restaurant. Between the service, the cleanliness, the delicious food, and the best Coke, I love it!

We went to the Hot Springs Newk’s Eatery. The store was extremely and packed around 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday. I ordered potato soup and chicken bacon ranch sandwich. My wife had the Greek salad. All of it was amazing and tasted really good.

Great pizzas. Salads are really good too but it came with too much dressing. I will ask for it on the side next time. The sandwich was good but it was mostly bread. The meat and toppings are slim. Overall I enjoy coming here especially when downtown is packed.

Good basic fare. We were looking for a lighter meal for an evening and Newk’s 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 soup/salad seemed the perfect option. I had the garden salad with a club sandwich and found both to be satisfying. The salad was made with leafy green lettuce and the sandwich had ample meat and condiments. My wife had the loaded potato soup and reported that it was good and filling. We had carry out which always detracts a bit from the offering, but it was a good meal. The price was pretty average.

My sister brought me here for lunch, I choose the chicken tortilla soup and the chicken salad sandwich, the portions were generous and the food was incredibly tasty, very good quality. I’m very picky and I don’t like many places here in hot springs, but I can honestly say I enjoyed my experience and loved the food. By the way, my sisters broccoli cheese soup was absolutely delicious!!

I ordered a Newk’s Q to go. I get home and find they didn’t put any white sauce on it. It is suppose to come with white sauce. It doesn’t taste very good without the white sauce. It’s just bland nothing.
