Ehh…had the ham and Swiss sandwich and a Cobb salad. It was just okay for me. The salad had a lot of big white chunks of lettuce that had started to turn pink. The blue cheese dressing was creamy and great. The extra small tomatoes were sour. The sandwich was decent but it just didn’t quit knock my socks off. The pasta salad was good though. I would like to try the pizza next time. For the sandwich and the salad (no drinks) I paid $23.29. The free crunchy straw-like breadsticks were the best.

I read some reviews and saw one person say, “Eh…,” which is my sentiment exactly. Nothing really remarkable in what I got, the chicken avocado sandwich that they have available for summer. This was my first time to Newk’s because I’m here from out of town. The food seemed to be good quality, and it wasn’t greasy fast food, which was my goal, so it did fulfill that goal. I’m curious if other things on the menu would be better. Other people seemed to have better looking food, so I didn’t rate the place poorly. I definitely would eat here again and try something different.

We eat regularly at the Newk’s in Hattiesburg, and on occasion have eaten at the Newk’s in Ridgeland . We were on our way back home from a trip up north so decided to try the Newk’s in Meridian. I’m sure the crew needs encouragement, but my wife asked for the salad with dressing on the side, but it came with a ton of dressing already on it. They quickly made that right. No problem. I then got the Mediterranean pizza, my favorite pizza at Newk’s. It was cold, undercooked (just look at the color of the toppings and crust), and really disappointing. Just look at the pic. I know we can say something in the moment but we were not wanting to wait around. Very disappointed and won’t be stopping at this Newk’s again. Sorry. I also truly dislike ‘asking for a tip before we get the food’ at any of the Newk’s. That isn’t necessary. On this occasion it was a small token tip, but wasted. I also added a pic of the same pizza from the Hattiesburg Newk’s from Oct. 11. And I added a pic of my wife’s salad, the same one she ordered in Meridian. Very nice. No comparison in food quality, presentation and taste. I read through a few of the reviews before posting, and it appears the manager or ? is responding to the reviews, hopefully making improvements. Glad to see that too.

This is my 1st and last time eating here! The place was packed, all the staff were really nice and helpful, the restaurant was clean. The biggest problem I had was that our food came to the table cold and late! I sent back my food because everyone at my table had finished eating. And all of our pizza’s came out lukewarm.

I rarely stop to give positive reviews unprompted (mostly because most fast establishments are very underwhelming) but I had to pause to talk about the 5 star experience I just had. I stopped at this Newks around 5:30p Saturday, passing through town on our way back to Atlanta. I’m already a fan of Newks. Ive been 100 times; they tend to serve a better sandwich.

My boyfriend and I recently bought a margarita pizza and a pepperoni sausage jalapeno pizza both were very greasy and the crust seemed rubbery. I’ve had better there before and not so much grease.

Restaurant is clean. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Portion sizes are large. I got the cesar salad with ahi tuna. The tuna was more brown, which I am used to it being more on the pink side. They offered to make it again. My friend got the chicken sandwich and my other friend got a Turkey sandwich. Sandwiches were delicious. Service was pretty quick. Great location to check out overall.

Great place . The passing out of food is confusing. The servers wander around the restaurant looking for a number. The to go orders you get nothing. You have to look at kitchen to see if your food is coming out or you guess at it . Should have a better food delivery process, otherwise great place.
