The new location is a big step up from the old place. There more room for tables, and better parking as well. The food is still as good as always, so overall I’m glad to see Tosokjib is back !

Your go to reliable mom and pop restaurant in the area. The jeongols (stew) can feed a lot of mouths! The haemul jeon (seafood pancake) is super loaded with seafood as well. The food won’t necessarily blow your mind but it’ll feel like coming home to grandmas kitchen.

First random date night since the start of the pandemic and To Sok Jip did not disappoint! The Bossam was so tender and melt in your mouth and the Seafood and Green Onion Pancake was savory and perfect. The banchan (the small dishes that come with your meal) were tasty and well prepared! The Bossam and the pancake are so large they can feed 4 to 5 people if you order both. So us two will be having left overs for the next few days.

If you are looking for authentic Korean cuisine in the National Capital Region, To Sok Jip is where you want to go. It’s like going to your Korean grandmother’s house for a meal. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and told to choose a table…there were only two left to choose from on a Friday during lunch and only about 8 or 9 four person tables total in the restaurant. The menu is fairly large and diverse. We tried a few popular dishes recommended on Yelp and they were really good. You get a ton of food here; so you may want to just order an appetizer and split an entree or be prepared to take leftovers home. We ended up doing the latter and look forward to another round of this fantastic food. 🙂

Came here for lunch yesterday. Parking lot is small they share it with a ton of other restaurants on the block so I parked at the Giant. The restaurant is very small maybe 10 tables max. The menu is in Korean with some English translation. Everything we had was very good and hot. Food came out fairly quick. The portions are huge! They offer white and brown rice. True authentic homemade Korean food.

This establishment offers great Korean food at affordable prices. The Portions are quite big and one entree can feed two people. However, their service is lackluster. We actually got chased out for not leaving a good enough tip and the waitress had an attitude with us during our dining. I would give them more stars but their service and expectations from the staff deserves a 3.
