One of my favorite Chinese places- reasonable prices, good quality food. Their Cheesesteak Eggrolls are incredible and one of my favorite, unique things on the menu!! And they have some great options for combination platters that come with fried rice and an eggroll. They had a very basic dine-in area before COVID; it’s more of a takeout/delivery place. Highly recommend checking this one out if you haven’t yet!!

I ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Young, 2 shrimp rolls and small shrimp fried rice. First they don’t deliver in my area, secondly no gravy was in the bag for the shrimp egg foo young and the 2 shrimp rolls were just plain rolls. The only thing that was good was the shrimp fried rice and customer service.

I just recently moved to glenside. I tried a bunch of different places in the area but everything else was inconsistent or mediocre. I however decided to give New Star a chance last night and am certainly glad I did. The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the general tso’s chicken with shrimp fried rice. The woman on the phone was very nice too and made sure the order was complete. They have just gained a new customer.

Food was excellent. Best take out Chinese I’ve ever had. Wontons weren’t all dough, broth was clear and very tasty. Shrimp fried rice wasn’t sticky. Looked and smelled fresh with nice size shrimp. Gen. Tso white meat chicken was perfect. Chicken was done perfectly and there was plenty of it. I’ll definitely order from here again.

I had picked up food here before, the boneless spare ribs are the best I’ve had in in a long time. I’ve tried to order for delivery, they do not deliver to Philadelphia even though I am less than 3 miles away. Hopefully they will expand their delivery area.
