New China is a small take-out Chinese restaurant located almost directly across from the Pell City Public Library. I always enjoy New China above all other Chinese take-out restaurants. The cuisine is authentic Cantonese, which makes for exceptional quality. Although the variation and creativity of original dishes lacks, it does double down on quality and timeliness. I have never had a miss from this spot.

Prices are good, food very good and if you take the time the people are very nice (shout out to the young lady going to school taking your order). I used to like this place. Over the past year, the food has really declined. I’ve noticed that whatever I order, I get something reused from another dish. I ordered chicken chow mein tonight, and there were zero noodles. It’s just boiled cabbage and onions with a little chicken. We ordered tonight specifically for noodle dishes. Very disappointed.

Staff was not friendly, no thank you, not even a goodbye when I called to ordered..just ok, click. Restaurant smelled like a nail salon when I walked in, not food, so I wasn’t too surprised when my food tasted like it had chemicals in it..not sure if they’re keeping cleaners near the food, spraying sanitizers too close to the food or what but it was bad, it went in the garbage. Not sure why this place has a good rating????

BEST CHINESE FOOD AROUND!!!!! I’ve been a loyal customer for more than 15, 20 years now. Their crab rangoon is AMAZING! Their house special lo mein is MY #1 FAVORITE!
