Our specific concept will be focusing on dishes from two cuisines, Ukrainian & Georgian which is the first ever combination so far ever existing in the States.
My mom, Mekhpara aka ‘Masha’ is the mastermind behind the concept and my daughter’s referral (Nene’s Restaurant) to my mom’s workplace where she worked for about 4 years is how we decided to name it
(Nene translates as Grandma from Azerbaijani language.)

Honestly all FIVE STARS for this establishment!! Locally owned an staffed. They are wonderful people, serving delicious food. We have been working our way through all the dishes and so far they have all been a fantastic culinary experience. The atmosphere is adorable, and staff is delightful and also very helpful with the menu.

In town for a concert at The Amp and had a craving for pirogies. Their version, called Vareniki was delicious as was the stuffed grape leaves, called Sarma. Both appetizers. For entrees I had Dosheme Plov a chicken and rice dish with apricot, dates and raisins! Very tasty. Also ordered were Lobio (bean dish) and Chicken Kiev which was als very good. The stars of the dinner were the desserts we tried, Blinchiki with Farmers Cheese and Ukrainian Napoleon! Delicious! Our server Yaroslov was an absolute joy and wealth of information about the dishes and Ukraine and Georgia! Made for a great dining experience

Highly recommend. The eggplant roulett was my favorite dish, never had anything like it. The Khan Plov was also a unique dish with a lot of creativity. The samsa and borscht were both solid as well. The cook brought out the Plov and greeted us, even serenaded us briefly. She and the waitress were both very lovely, and the overall service was top notch.

We live in the neighborhood and were curious to check out this new restaurant Nene’s- so glad we did!! Probably the most authentic dining experience we have ever had. Yaroslav served us at the bar and was so friendly, helpful and attentive! All of their beer and wine is from Czech, Ukraine, Georgia etc. So pure. No Bud/Miller Light here! Dishes are absolutely delicious and cooked from scratch. The spices and flavors were astounding. I felt like I was no longer in Tampa. 10/10 recommend an evening at Nene’s to try something new! 🙂

This was an incredible dining experience. It’s a hidden gem for Tampa Bay area! The food was excellent exactly what I was looking for! Fresh homema authentic food from scratch! Great menu selection with delicious Georgian wine! Will highly recommend it and will definitely come back!

What a great find! Traditional Eastern European foods, with a focus on Ukrainian. We had the Chicken Kiev and beef stroganoff, both great. Lots of vegetarian options and we had a tasty beet salad too.

The service was fantastic! Alexia was a sweetheart and was very helpful. I had the Blue Rkatsiteli wine which was delicious and semi sweet. For an app I had the Khinkali Dumplings which were incredible and were served with a red salsa kind of sauce and a dill sour cream sauce, just perfect! As an entree I had the Chicken Kyiiv which was cooked perfectly, full of flavor and came with delicious fresh and pickled veggies and some super smooth mashed potatoes. We will definitely be back again very soon!
