Recently moved from a small town and this place made it easy to feel welcomed. Went into the bar not knowing anyone, and left knowing this will be my go to place from now on. First of all, the drinks are the cheapest in the area. The bartenders know what they are doing, and always glad to help you. Second, the food here is NOT just bar food. The food menu has a mixture of everything. They do random specials throughout the week, and then more. Soups, wings, sandwiches, burgers, BREAKFAST (weekends), and even some “mamma’s cookin” home cooked comfort food. Side note: the soups are absolutely amazing, but you got to get them fast because everyone in the area knows how good they are and they will be gone so keep an eye out on their Facebook. Lastly, you will make friends here. People there are always so nice and generous to everyone. Just an all around great place to go for a beer, a game, some laughs, music and everything in between.

I love the bartender. She is so cool. Blonde girl. Forgot her name. Every time I am here though, at about 1:30am, someone plays the same ten long Mexican songs. I don’t mind Mexican music, but somebody plays the same ten long Mexican songs every night. Sometimes it starts earlier than 1:30am. It makes everything so unenjoyable. The music is flowing and mixing on the TouchTunes all night and then as soon as the drunk regulars come in, it goes straight to the same ten long Mexican songs. This place could be so much better than it is, but they miss the mark consistently and they seem to be perfectly fine with handing a few beers out instead of getting actual business and new people in here. 50 bucks in beers total among the seven regulars that are in here can’t be the ideal outcome. The bartender is awesome. I would probably come here way more often if the last two hours of the night didn’t sound the exact same every night. It seems like a running joke or something. Bad look.

Chicago style bar but it’s missing that hardcore “old ashtray” smell. It’s a simple yet good selection of booze, great prices compared to the place next door or down the street, great food (all of the food is good) and the regulars are good ol’ folks. Scary place, saw a man arguing with whom ever they were with because he was intoxicated, yet no one stop serving drinks nor kick this men out. Still scare of identity theft due to the waitress taking ID’S with her to verify age and took her long enough to return them.

First time back in a few months. The ownership and management do a fantastic job of continuing the reputation of the Hood as a family friendly bar and grill. They are very approachable, and they truly care about your feedback on your dining experience. The service and the food are both excellent. In addition, at a time when many businesses have raised their prices, the Neighborhood Inn has kept their prices at a family affordable level. I’m not in the area as much as I used to be, but if you find yourself in the area, check out the Hood.

Great staff and great drinks. Fun place for darts, karaoke on Saturdays, and bags/cornhole during the summer. Also, the loaded potato wedges were recommended to me and did not disappoint!
