This place serves incredibly delicious food. I was very surprised with the quality given it has so few reviews. This place should be a lot more popular! I ordered the curry chicken patty, the jerk chicken with steamed cabbage and rice with peas (beans), fried plantains, and cornbread.

Just ordered from here 10/10 had the oxtails and curry chicken with two sides (white rice and Mac& cheese) I normally order from royal Caribbean but they was closing so I gave this place a try. This is now my second favorite soul food/ Caribbean restaurant in Pittsburgh. You can’t really find too many since it’s a predominantly white city but I’ll definitely order from here again and recommend this restaurant for people seeking real authentic Caribbean food. Only thing I would suggest for the restaurant is better Mac and cheese, mine was a little dry, I had to season it up a little when I received it. It Wasn’t nasty however, just dry. Other than that 10/10 must try again !

First time and what a fantastic experience. Jerk chicken was cooked to perfection and the rice and peas were just like being in the Caribbean. Like my cabbage cooked a bit more, but the flavors were delicious. Had a beef pattie and gave one to a coworker and he really enjoyed it. I will definitely be ordering again soon. There was another drumstick, but it smelled so good I had to try it right away before photo.

All my experiences here have been good – you just have to remember some dishes will need to cook upon ordering and some will be ready to go when they first open and some will not (I usually get there soon after opening.)

I’ve been eating Caribbean food for a large portion of my life both in Pittsburgh, & around the globe and this experience was not the best. I ordered pepper steak, rice & peas and Mac and cheese, I gave this restaurant 2 stars because the steak they gave me was SO over cooked and dry I couldn’t cut it with my fork, and a knife would’ve broken the styrofoam box it was in, the rice & peas had no flavor also dry and the Mac was okay I guess. The food did not taste as appetizing as it looked, FOR ME at least.

The food was so nasty. The oxtails and curry goat didn’t have any flavor and the rice wasn’t cooked. The whole thing didn’t have flavor at all and was nasty. I am Caribbean so maybe I have higher expectations but my husband couldn’t even eat this. I didn’t want to even bother telling them their food was bland since it seamed they had some internal issues going on at the moment but I am extremely disappointed. I don’t know what food was that but anyway….waste of money

I got the oxtail with jerk chicken and rice, with a side of Mac n cheese and potato salad with a beef pie. When I tell you this food will warm your soul. It’s spiced just right, the meat is tender, there’s so much flavor and love in this food. Yall need to try this place, for real.

Finally they had Curried Goat left when I happened by, and it was EXCELLENT. I was feeling a little dodgy about it at first because it smelled so smoky, but that’s because they are BBQing right out back. The amount of smoke was perfect once I started eating it. The sauce was fantastic, rice and peas were perfect for mixing in the sauce, mac and cheese was very good.

Our party ordered goat curry, oxtails, snapper and whiting, with sweet potatoes, mac and cheese and rice. We loved every least thing. Complex, deep flavors for very reasonable prices. Eager to go back and try the other items on the menu.
