Inspired by their mother’s home cooking, sisters Carla and Christine Pallotta opened Nebo in 2005 to bring their favorite childhood dishes to a new audience. With tireless devotion to their Pugliese roots, Nebo’s food and drink menu captures the true essence of dining in an Italian home.
With an industrial decor that honors their family’s Italian neighborhood and outdoor patio seating overlooking the Greenway, Nebo is a refined, classically-Italian dining experience you won’t find anywhere else in Boston.

Got take out from here for dinner. Overall, I think their food is just okay, especially compared to the price. A lot of their food is bland and underseasoned. I think their pasta with spicy tomato sauce was excellent—very bold flavors. Their traditional pizza with fried eggs was also standard but good. I think their pizzas are their best kind of food.

Food was pretty bland. They offered chili flakes and parmesan for our pasta dishes, which we accepted, but they also needed salt and just more seasoning overall. The bucatini was over cooked. It’s mediocre Italian food at fine dining prices. One redeeming quality was the wine selection, although I waited 10 minutes after ordering for my first glass.

Prices are going up….. and food quality is going down…. Vary sad! Not sure I’m coming back … one time it was one of my best place to go… this place was great for the bread (now you have to pay) and fantastic pizza. Pasta was usually good and flavored …. Tonite pasta was without salt and full of butter … heavy and not enjoyable! And … to finish the nite …. No more parking validation …. So add $12 to the dinner !

We had a lovely evening at Nebo. Our waitress was super kind, and we were seated promptly for our reservation.

If you want good Italian food please don’t eat here! The pasta was over cooked and all 3 of the sauces were watery and had absolutely no flavor! My wife had the pizza it was good. This was definitely not worth the money. The staff was great very polite and the restaurant it self was a cool place. This is unfortunate because the dinner actually sucked!

I want Nebo to be good. I really do. Its in a great spot, the atmosphere is great (specifically the outdoor seating) and the wait staff is top notch. However, the food is just bad. I’ve been 4 times, getting something different each time, nothing has been good, everything has been very bland. Take the extra 15 minutes and just walk to the north end to get some better Italian food, its the correct choice.

Ok so this place isn’t probably the best Italian restaurant in Boston but it’s not that bad either. I see why it has a total of 3.6 rating here. The best thing on the menu is probably the Tagliatelle Cappesante (squid ink pasta). It’s almost made to perfection, the pasta, the scallops are cooked very nicely and the sauce pairs really well! The only problem I had was with the seasoning. Everything needed more seasoning! The zucchini lasagna was a flop, probably not worth a try. It was missing cheese and the sauce was OK. I had to add salt and red crushed pepper to everything (but that’s just my preference). The appetizers were decent. Burrata with the bread was good, the calamari Fritto Misto was good (not the best I’ve had but good), the Arancini stuffed mushroom was not good. The deconstructed cannoli was alright, go to Mike’s instead for a good cannoli. There are so many great Italian restaurants in Boston in the North End, if you’re new and looking for a good spot, you should probably skip this place and go check out North End. BUT, if you’ve tried it all and are looking for something nearby in the area that’s pretty decent, this can be your spot. It’s just a little pricey though but it’s also Boston lol

The food and service are exemplary. I have been many times and and have tried many of their various offerings. I was always most impressed. Again, the servers are top notch!

Nebo is the best spot for Italian food in Boston. The Zucchini Lasagna is so unique and flavorful, the pizzas are amazingly good and always cooked to perfection, and the Ricotta Gnocchi is a must (never overly garlicky like many restaurants). You truly can’t go wrong with any item on the menu. Five stars all around!
