This is a shady place that needs to be investigated. They stay open until sunrise playing LOUD bass music even though the city passed a new ordinance for bar music within 300 feet of a residence. The other day the cops showed up in the parking lot nearby and this place turned off their open sign and closed the blinds while they still had late hour customers inside. Must have something to hide. This place will be sued really soon if they keep it up.

Just walked in to order the Vegetarian Combo the lady tells me “No they don’t have” wow safe to say I won’t be revisiting. Pretty trashy on the outside probably saved my life . Thank God for small miracles.

The location is definitely not great, the parking is horrible and the maximum capacity is probably 30 ppl. But the service and food both make up for everything else. Our waitress had difficulty answering our questions due to the language differences so she called some one on the phone to help (great idea, very nice of her) so after speaking with a women on the phone, we ordered exactly what we were looking for. The Tej, Honey wine was amazing (the best I have ever had) my husband about finished an entire bottle himself. We order the vegetarian platter and some beef tibs both were delicious and the portions were very generous. We will definitely be going back and taking friends.

Great food, drinks, and conversation. A whole section of the menu is vegan and they specify that these items are cooked in olive oil. The teff is awesome. The food tastes great and everything is so fresh. The house salad is AMAZING! I could order that by itself with the teff and be satisfied. The coffee (buna) is amazing as well. They give you your own mini Jebena to enjoy your coffee from that holds 4 cups of coffee. The coffee tastes robust and strong – just the way I like it. I ordered the misir wot. My absolute favorite and I will be dining here again and bringing family to join me next time.

Our first time there we ordered the veggie combination plate ($13) which had most of my favourite Eithiopean dishes and served on injera bread. It was so yummy. We also split a bottle of their homemage honey meade (tej) which reminded me of my grandfather’s homebrew wine.

So sad how this place has changed. We’ve eaten here at least 30 times but will not again. One bad meal can be excused as a bad night, but a second night several weeks later of diffident service, most of the menu not available, and general uncleanliness, and we are done. We will drive the extra distance to Lucy’s from now on.

My favorite thing to do here is to get the Misir Wot, which I truly love. Misir wot is an extremely spicy dish that I call “Ethiopian chili.” It’s a vegetarian stew of split lentils simmered in red chile sauce with ginger and garlic. I spread a huge serving of the stuff on injera bread and sprinkle it with berbers, the Ethiopian chili powder. Then I roll the whole thing up into an Ethiopian chili taco.

The place is too old and the restroom is a piece of mess. Am giving them three stars because of the nice ladies whom work there.
